My thesis show & graduation was absolutely amazing ✨🌷🧚 • The first day I was at Ringling I cried because I was so scared to be there at 17, fresh out of high school. Immediately that night I made my first and best friend @nando.aguirre7 and thought maybe this isn’t horrible. I’m so glad I decided to stay and met so many more amazing people. From so many friends to professors, this community has ment a lot to me. I got to be president of @artistalley.ringling and work as a coordinator at @cssringlingcollege , both such meaningful things to me. Thank you @ringlingcollegeillustration for being such an amazing place for me to grow and learn ✨ I hope to be back in the future! :) • • • #graduation #papercutart #kidlit

It was amazing to be a part of the 2026 Illustration Thesis Reception! I was able to create and produce a copy of my children’s book “Theo’s Pancake Party” about a little dinosaur celebrating his birthday. I had the honor of receiving one of the awards for the top 3 Best Thesis Projects, and I just wanted thank everyone who supported me, especially @heathcliffcomix and @crod210 for choosing me for the award. I am so grateful to have been a part of this program with so many talented students and professors! And the biggest thank you to Theo for throwing a pancake party. . . #illustration #art #childrensbookstagram

Students hit the scene with Professor A. T. Pratt at the MoCCA Arts Festival 🎉 Students from the Products and Zines classes showcased and sold their work at this major NYC event, hosted by the Society of Illustrators on March 28-29. Now in its fifth year under Professor Pratt’s guidance, students ran their own table, gaining real world experience presenting, promoting, and selling their work independently. The weekend brought an incredible turnout and record breaking sales, with comics, zines, prints, stickers, T-shirts, and handmade objects quickly finding new homes. Over the past two years, the course has expanded to three sections, with additional sections taught this year by Andre L Davis and Anthony Gambino, further growing student participation and presence at the festival. Held at the Metropolitan Pavilion, the festival is the city’s largest independent comics and cartoon event, drawing thousands of artists, publishers, and fans while celebrating the evolving world of illustration and small press culture. So proud of our students for showing up and sharing their work 👏 Students who participated:
Angel Rodriguez, Ashley Ortiz-Tovar, Justinee Massabny, Kelsey Ayala, Liany Sanchez, Jerusa Larancuent, Jazmin Gamboa, Jailynn Winn, Hailey Amanna, Abubacar Keita, Alana Schwartz, Alexa D’Alessandro, Amelie Barritas, Arianny Matos, Camila Pena Marte, Celeste Nova, Cyan Villar, Gavin Kisla, Elias Galdamez, Kaden Zofrea, Katherine Nicholas, Kimberly Peralta, Liz Seidemann, Maura Mayfield, Melissa Aydogan, Nate Quintero, Pauline Magos, Sean Wall, Simone Lino, Skyla Vera. Additional congratulations to Professor Pratt, who received a MoCCA Award of Excellence for the comic Action Baby Comics: Animal Alphabet, an honor awarded to only 15 artists at the festival. 👏
