You might remember @justaspann 's gorgeous voice from when she performed with Constellation Big Band at the Stage this past May. Now she's back to perform her debut album sp(inner)ace (pronounced "inner space"), co-created with her longtime collaborator (and childhood next-door neighbor in Cranbury, NJ!) @scoyoh .

The story of a spider who spins her web between the stars, this live rendition of the genre bending contemporary classical album will move you and set your imagination on fire.

About the creators:

Allison Spann is a Brooklyn-based performance creator who uses voice and collaborative art-making as tools for connectivity and transformation. She is a multi-genre vocalist, actor, and composer. Winner of the Princeton Concerto Competition, recipient of the Richardson Auditorium Artist in Residency, semifinalist at the O’Neill’s National Music Theater Conference, and winner of the Edward T. Cone Prize for music composition, performance, and scholarship, Spann has reached audiences from The Kennedy Center, La Maison Symphonique de Montréal, and jazz clubs around the globe. www.allisonspann.com

Scott Li is a NYC-based classically trained violinist, composer, performer, improviser, filmmaker, recording engineer, and sound artist blending the tonal Romantic chamber music tradition with emotive experimental ambient electronic music. Hailed as “one of the pioneers of the next generation’s classical music”, Li’s compositions fuse modular synthesis, live processing, fixed media, film, photography, dance, and prose with elements of classical chamber music to “create a simultaneous understanding of The Beautiful and The Sublime, while exhibiting unparalleled emotional induction.” (Téa Mottolese, The Crossfader, 2019). www.scottli.co

It’s been a month since showcase and I’m still feeling pretty and witty and bright ✨

Thank you @actortherapynyc for the generous scholarship to attend this summer intensive. I’m still trying to find the right words to describe the gratitude I’m feeling from this experience. I gained so much knowledge and I was reminded of the lengths of my potential if I continue to apply myself. I am so thankful for the lessons I learned, the people I can now call my mentors, and the new friendships that I hold very dear. May we all continue to thrive and rise up together 🎭✨

There is nothing like spending two weeks working on something you love dearly, surrounded by a cohort of incredibly kind, driven, and talented humans. @LindsayMendez, @RyanScottOliver, and the entire @actortherapynyc team were a dream to learn from. I’m leaving the city with a full heart and a fire for what’s to come.

Thank you to everyone who reached out with concern 🩷

We are breathing and learning! It takes a village to revive a theater, and if there’s any place made for a creative community to thrive, it’s weird, wonderful Hopewell. ✨

We are full of hope for the future (@justaspann and @scoyoh return October 16)… and joy for TONIGHT! Come on out for @giaware and The Warehouse Collective to support live performance and end your week with dreamy jazz and a cool drink.

We love you 🥰
