For Josephine A large floating frame featuring her wedding bouquet. Early July blooms floating, telling their story through flowers. The daisies steal the show for me in this piece. It’s been months since I’ve shared new work. The busy wedding season is coming to an end and I’ve been deep into the design process — my favourite part. This beauty for Heather, captured so lovely in a floating frame. The depth of colours in this bouquet really made for a final piece that pops. When video hardly does justice to how epic it felt. Lightning, thunder and a storm that just missed us, only to leave them with pure magic. This ceremony was unforgettable. Floating Style — an increasingly popular request. Designed in a 🌙 A style I did many moons ago, when I began designing on paper, after my phone case era. Swipe to see the evolution all the way back in 2018! My lil JBS has birthed many lives 🤍

A moment for the actual pressed flowers, and not the design of the piece. Pressing and preserving your bridal flowers correctly is half the battle. This part of the process is lengthy, and takes a lot of patience and practice over the years. I think the quality of your pressed flowers is just as important as the final design of your piece. I spend many, many hours with your bouquets — studying the flowers before I press them, changing papers, and checking in on your flowers regularly (daily for the first week). This all ensures they press paper thin, with as much colour retention as possible. Furthermore, the quality & freshness of your flowers is just as important. Once flowers start to age, wilt, and brown I can’t turn back time. An equally important part of it all. Lots of pieces working together to make the flower puzzle ✨ Bridal bouquet preservation 16x20” Signature style Florals by @floralista vancouver flower preservation | wedding bouquet preservation | bridal bouquet preservation | pressed flower art | preserved bridal bouquet | vancouver wedding vendors | bc brides | vancouver florist | Pacific Northwest wedding | botanical art | pressed flower frame | wedding keepsake | bridal heirloom

I always tell my couples the quality of your flowers is just as important as is the floral preservation process. When florals are fresh, in season and in amazing shape it makes such a difference for the pressing process. A round of applause for @leisdebuds and this beautiful bouquet they designed for Kelsey.
