Winding through the canyons of Eastern Oregon feels like stepping into another world—one carved by time, wind, and water. The further you go, the quieter everything gets. Just the sound of your boots against volcanic soil, the occasional cry of a hawk overhead, and the echo of your own awe bouncing off walls. These landscapes don’t shout for attention—they whisper stories of ancient floods, hidden wildlife, and solitude that you can feel in your chest.

The way the light hits the canyon walls changes by the minute—deep oranges giving way to dusky purples as the sun slips behind the rim. There’s something grounding about being out here, off the grid and far from cell service, where your only job is to keep moving forward and take it all in.

If you’re craving wide open skies, dramatic rock formations, and trails less traveled, Eastern Oregon delivers. It’s a place that reminds you how small you are—and how lucky you are to witness it.

Coyote Gulch 🏜️

A collection of frames from an unforgettable backpacking trip into the back country of escalante. I had been wanting to see this place for years and it totally exceeded expectations. It has the perfect balance of beautiful views and adventurous hiking.

Feeling grateful that I got to experience this place with a rad group of friends and we got some amazing weather, light, and the perfect amount of cloud cover for photos.

Summer on the Oregon coast always hits different. This place has been special to me for as long as I can remember—a childhood spot that first introduced me to the West Coast way of life, with its dramatic cliffs, endless beaches, and those iconic rock stacks rising from the shoreline. Last summer was the first time I made it back in nearly five years, and the emotions came rushing in. It was like reconnecting with an old part of myself—familiar, grounding, and full of memories.

This entire hike had so much idealistic glowyness in all the right spots, and although I my 14mm lens was so much more useful than my buddies 16mm lenses, I still could have greedily had more wide angle reach for this place, it was huge! See if you can spot Jessi standing in the arch to get an idea just how big it was.

Also got to help Justin get a few product shots for brands he was working with.
