DISTRIKT 33 and Faxtory inviting a long time friend and compatriot Cipher's Finsent C 🏙️

@distrikt_hk
@finsent
@jyippio

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24, 23h
HK$150 (link in bio) / HK$250 (door)

Faxtory is a Hong Kong–based DJ and resident at 宀 Club, known for a genre-fluid approach anchored in techno—restless, rhythmic, and built for late-night momentum.

Influenced by late-90s and early-2000s records, and driven by a constant appetite for modern, boundary-pushing production, his sound is defined by tension-building and progression, with a taste for introspective tracks that carry slow-burning emotional weight—expressed through patient blends, layering, and subtle shifts.

Beyond the booth, Faxtory is the driving force behind Distrikt—a music collective and club night with a vision to push the sonic boundaries of Hong Kong’s community-driven underground scene. Built on deep trust in curation and a commitment to showcasing proper music above all else, Distrikt serves as a platform that spotlights local talent while integrating international touring artists—shaping nights that feel intimate, uncompromising, and future-facing.

His ethos is rooted in the energy of tightly connected scenes and the belief that the best parties are more than lineups—they’re shared experiences that help a city’s underground culture grow louder, bolder, and more adventurous over time.

Hong Kong artist Finsent C crafts DJ sets as fluid, hypnotic journeys into the deeper shades of techno. His musical path began behind the drum kit, a foundation that informs the rhythmic, immersive quality of his performances today. He perceives a set as a shared, ritualistic experience—one that requires patience and connection to unfold.

This philosophy is the core of his curated music project, Cipher, an outlet dedicated to crafting otherworldly sonic environments and showcasing the meditative side of experimental electronic music. A staple of his hometown's scene, Finsent has also carried his signature kinetic groove across the region, with notable appearances in clubs and venues throughout East Asia, steadily propagating deep, undulating soundwaves throughout the region's underground circuit.

Entering the threshold of Avyakta |

Continuing our artist spotlight for the Omen Wapta showcase at Acadana, we delve into the elastic tensions and liminal frequencies guided by Faxtory and Konnection.

Faxtory（Distrikt) moves through the floor with fluid introspection and understated precision. Born in Hong Kong and shaped across years in New York, his selections reflect the subterranean roots of house, tactile rhythmic drive, and kinetic propulsion. Echoes of classical and jazz discipline—rooted in percussion, trombone, and drums—ghost through his sets, bending momentum, groove, and release into soundscapes that feel both cerebral and deeply transportive.

Konnection (Liminal Space / 宀) treats sound as an unfolding journey across borderless territories. Emerging from the underground and holding residency at 宀 Club, Fung sculpts a cinematic continuum woven from deep techno, halftime, low-end pressure, and broken rhythms. Known for patient, locked-in blends and acute crowd intuition, his sonic world oscillates across tension and release. Through his imprint and event platform Liminal Space, he continuously explores the blurred edges between psychedelic trance states and raw physical resonance.

Two navigators shaping the unseen space between movement and stillness.

Asia
Final stop: @liminalspace.hk (Hong Kong)

Closing one chapter just as a new one is about to begin. This week, I’m heading back to Asia for a new adventure, and I can’t think of a better moment to share the final memory from last year’s tour.

Hong Kong was our last stop, but in many ways, it was where everything began. The seed of my very first Asian expedition was planted there, thanks to my dear @scarlet_shiu , to whom I’ll be forever grateful for opening the doors to a whole new world for me. And, of course, a huge thank you to the Liminal Space family, @fungicf @sekopatata , for making it all possible.

It’s taken me almost a year to write about this night. I wanted to find the right moment and the right words to express my gratitude, sincerely and from the bottom of my heart, for everything it meant to me.

Thanks to you, I had the opportunity to discover an incredible scene, meet so many wonderful people, and experience things I’ll carry with me forever. What started as a tiny seed grew into an adventure I could never have imagined.

And now, almost a year later, I’m incredibly lucky to be coming back.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who was part of that journey. Sending you all a massive hug, and I hope to see many of you again over the coming weeks.

See you very soon Asia. 🫂

@jyippio (@distrikt_hk )
@jfung___ (@darkmetaz )

LMNL_DSTRKT

Born and raised in Hong Kong but shaped in part by time spent in New York, Faxtory moves through club music with a sensibility touched by the deeper roots of house, rhythm-driven sound, and dance floor propulsion.

There is something ever-shifting in his approach — introspective, fluid, and hard to anticipate, yet always quietly precise. Traces of an early immersion in trombone, percussion and drums across classical and jazz settings still echo through his sets, surfacing in the way he bends groove, tension and release into something both cerebral and transportive.

This Saturday we welcome @astrangewedding in the special Liminal Distrikt at @mihnclub with @distrikt_hk @liminalspace.hk

Being a big fan with ASW’s production for a really long time, so this is kind of a dream booking to me personally

Besides, even with a lot of days and nights spent, this would be the very first round of working on a collab for @distrikt_hk

Can’t be more excited for the weekend:)

A Strange Wedding is a French DJ, producer and trained sound designer based in Berlin, known for crafting mesmeric sonic journeys.

Merging a mysterious blend of polychromatic influences, his music brings together tempos and sounds from diverse horizons within the same cosmic framework. Exploring experimental bass music and the most psychedelic forms of techno, he opens breaches in space time, creating soundscapes that shimmer and stretch between constellations of inner worlds.

Great big Saturday night and Hong Kong premiere of an artist the hosting crews bonded over, so get ready for a wedding, and by the sound of it, it's gonna get pretty strange 🛰️

Avyakta｜
—

Before form, there is silence. In the Bhagavad Gita, Avyakta is the unmanifest universe—the silent void holding all sound before it finds a name.

Scattered across the corners of this city, we are drawing our paths together for one night. A warehouse gathering built as a deliberate reunion and celebration for the entire Hong Kong underground community.

Leading this sonic passage is Dutch label Omen Wapta founder Woody92, drifting effortlessly across IDM, glitch, tribal, and relentless hypnotic techno.

Uniting alongside him are eight vital pillars of our local scene: Adrianna, Charlieowo, Ching Yi, Faxtory, JFÜNG, Joemo, Konnection, and Sean UNI.

Nine paths converging on one floor. In the vibration of the low end, what was once unmanifest finally takes shape.
