First time in years that ALL my siblings were in the same space. It was a blessing to see nieces and nephews. For sure had my mom on the phone throughout the weekend, constantly a voice that helped me stay grounded.

I’ve been tugged and pulled by various influences. Ultimately realized, despite the highs and lows, my family gonna show up and show out for the boy. The gonna be in my corner. Was honored to contribute to something that brought everyone together.

I told myself I wanted to do something that incorporated my people into the work that I do. Each of them had the opportunity to design their own shirt color way. So, from here on out, every time I put on one of these shirts, I’ll be carrying a family member with me.

In other words, my focus is to put my family on.

Hope I make y’all proud.

Make your day pop with our smooth, spicy-sweet signature beverage the Thelonious Mocha! 🍫☕️🔥 Dark chocolate by @viderichocolate, cinnamon, cayenne, house vanilla bean syrup, espresso by @counterculturecoffee and your choice of whole, skim or @oatly oat milk. This drink is the stuff of legends, as it was inspired by Rocky Mount native and jazz piano genius Thelonious Monk! Enjoy 🎶🤩

Feel like Life

Im trying.
Hard.
Especially when
it’s been
my story
for so long.

But I’m
confident in
my pen’s
ability to
craft a story that’s more fitting of me

now.

Quick to say
Rome wasn’t
built in a day.
What make you
think this temple
was.

Too many tears,
laughter, clinched
fists, tears, smiles,
heartache, and tears
for me to
pretend this was
instant.

That growth sacred.

Far from perfect,
but stretching,
inch by inch,
day by day.

Next time I check
my line of view gonna elevate.
No matter how much time it take.

Drop a 🖤 for my searchers

That’s the
mediation that has
stuck with me.

I Am.

Thus, I
will not search
for what I
already am.

Be it love,
wealth, healing,
strength, or
other qualities.

I Am.
