GBW partners Geoff Wells and Molly McKibben had a fantastic day enjoying one of SoCal’s most beautiful golf courses as they hit the links last week for the OCTLA 2026 Summer Scramble at Monarch Beach Golf Links.

Their foursome, sponsored by Kaas Settlement Consulting, included Kaas COO Steve Unglaub and fellow Pepperdine Law School grad Brent Owens. Congratulations to Molly, who drove her way to the Longest Drive award for the women golfers!

⛳️ What. A. Day.

2026 OCTLA Summer Scramble was one for the books 📚 From incredible competition on the course to meaningful conversations off of it, this year’s tournament brought together the best of the plaintiff’s bar for a day filled with camaraderie, connection, and a shared commitment to the pursuit of justice.

To everyone who joined us, sponsored a hole, volunteered, and helped make this event possible thank you again. Your support continues to strengthen our community and the work we do on behalf of injured Californians.

Here’s to the birdies, the bogeys, the laughs, the new friendships, and the partnerships that will continue long after the final putt dropped.

Until next year... 🏌️‍♂️☀️

Corporate defendants that cause harm rarely do the right thing from day one. They usually deny everything and force the harmed to hire an attorney to battle them. While we would hope that the battle doesn’t take six years, sometimes they do. However long it takes, we fight for our clients and make sure that in the end they treated fairly.

This settlement included an aggregate of payments from multiple parties that we alleged were at fault for the explosion.

Wow, you guys! Another successful fundraising event at Law-Di-Gras! This wouldn’t be possible without Sevy Fisher planning and coordinating the golf charity tournament. Very thankful to all of the hole sponsors. We couldn’t host the tournament without you - (and it would be a “hole” lot more boring)! We loved bringing back Country Club Adjacent out to roast all the golfers. Apparently Jonelle Fisher looks like a PTA Mom who has a Stanley in every color. So many people showed up to buy raffle tickets to win Robert Simon’s Tesla. It was later announced by Remi Simon that the winner was Carlos Fernandez! Congrats! Patrick Renna “you’re killin’ me smalls” signed a ton of baseballs that were later purchased by so many wonderful people. Todd and Ericka Robertson killed it speaking in front of hundreds of people, pouring their hearts out sharing the story of their sweet son Weston. Again, from the bottom of our hearts, we thank each and every one of you who took the time to support us in our effort to raise money for families battling childhood cancer. #westonwayneswarriors #lawdigras 🧡💙🧡💙
