This weekend I broke finding 500 antlers in my life I got a late start in life I started looking for antlers in around 2018. For western shed hunters 500 is nothing but growing up in New England to find more than 10-15 in a season is extremely difficult. Only 50 or more are from there and the rest since 2020 have been in Idaho and Utah. This is not a brag some people with do this full time which I don’t find 2-300 a year. The amount of miles I’ve put searching for these antlers I’ve been extremely blessed and lucky to have support and the grind to search the next ditch or hill and it’s a blast! I’ve learned a lot from others and still am but like the saying going miles for piles is the truth. Good luck for those still searching for brown gold!

One of those sets pics will never give justice to. At a little over 12 lbs a side, 57” beams, and over 60” of mass, this is my biggest elk set yet.

I can’t say that I felt more deserving than anyone else to find this set, but I will say that the group earned it. After a somewhat unsuccessful morning for everyone, we had to work our way back. I honestly thought the day was over.. but god had other plans. We ended up cliffed out on the way out, and I had to re-navigate us to a safer route. That detour led me directly to this set.

Sits around 353 conservatively, there’s prettier bulls of that caliber, but this set and trip will always be special to me.

First brown elk shed of the year. Nothing crazy, but dang… we worked hard to dig up a brown. My main goal for this trip was to get to know these good dudes better and ideally watch someone find something next level. Felt blessed to experience exactly that… I was greeted back at the truck the first afternoon by not only one, but two bomber sets the guys had snagged, along with a dreamy Muley single @kade_cleverley walked into.

Felt like we couldn’t ask for much more based on the number of people in the area, but we were all still excited for what the following morning could produce! More to share…

New match set! Elk curse is broken, Cannot Believe It. Hiked all day with nothing than boom!💥We Went back to match the giant bull that I found the other day and we found this one of the sides, entirely brown and both and incredible condition!

No town Buck Here! I went for a drive to film after church…. Didn’t realize ide be coming home with an absolute public land unit! This is by far my biggest chalk in Utah so far living here, God is blessing me surely because he knows I can’t walk far enough to keep up with the miles I need too be at hobbling along. This may be my last big one before surgery besides another set I’ve been holding off posting for now. What a freaking weekend it went from sad to not going up to Idaho then this happened!

It’s only fitting. God truly has a plan it worked out the way it was meant too! I got a call from @time4tines @tanner_perrero informing me they found a mega shed and it went to a place they knew I had written permission I pulled a u-turn in my car and met them got them permission on the slip as well and watched till sunset then had to leave, after I had left they picked up the other side to the buck Scar. It wasn’t until after watching the buck I realized I had filmed this buck 3.5 miles away in October and again in January multiple times! With the broken droptine I didn’t recognize him at first but then we started freaking out! It was fitting the same amazing guys that deserved to pick up the sheds as other guys watching the bucks were deserving as well but happened to be the guys who helped me match up my buck last year! That’s good karma if I’ve ever seen some! It’s crazy what some bucks will make you do watching them day and night to collect something that will collect dust but I simply love it and my part although small I couldn’t be more grateful for the call and sign of trust! Congrats guys ❤️🔥🙌
