So I got to meet one of my all time favorite artists. And I immediately got teary eyed because I can’t contain big feelings without them seeping out of my face. She was extremely gracious and then took this picture even though she was on vocal rest and really needed to finish up.
Embarrassing, but truly so precious to me. This group collectively and individually are Music incarnate. Their musicality and humanity are so effortlessly connected. This is the first time I got to see them live after about 13-14 yrs of trying to see them. And to think, I almost had to work yet another time that they were in my vicinity. Feeling so content and grateful. @hiatuskaiyote @artykarateparty sorry for being cheesy and tearing up immediately and then running away so that I didn’t start crying more in front of everyone left in line!! 😅😃

Sarai caught me on my way out on my last last day with Oak and O-Ku here in Nashville, carrying the pretty flowers they got me, after the tears and hugs.
Thank you for making me take a picture and convincing me it’s a good one haha @lagunabeachh
Thank you to all the bartenders and teammates.
We did everything we could and more. And I’m so proud of and thankful for my time with you all. Cheers!

Okay, I can’t resist it any more. I gotta share these fun, moody photos. I’ve done bgvs for Emily just a couple times now, and it has been so fun and reviving. I love her so much. After all these years later, I love that she’s still in my story. She’s a beauty, a queen, and a proper diva. ♥️Now everyone tell her to sing me some Yebba covers!! Haha…

The Gospel of Cocktail podcast with @kin_diesel is out now! Akinde and Kala take you to church! They didn’t expect to go this route in today’s episode, but sometimes fellowship over a cocktail is exactly the sort of communion you need. As they get in their feels, we hope you will feel the love too. Listen at the link in bio! #cheers
