A Joshua Tree recap with the most beautiful souls.

We specifically designed last weekends immersion to allow us the extra time and space to make art, playy, connect with eachother, relax more deeply into our feminine energy, and be outside with mamma nature. 🦋

This was healing in so many forms. Thank you for co-creating this with us on this journey by saying yes. 🌵💛

If this speak to you, our next one is September 18-21, 2026.

Comment “creatress” for a private invite link from us. 🎨🧚

My heart is so so full. 🥹

One week ago we gathered in Joshua Tree for an immersive weekend into the holy heart of the feminine.

From our opening circle on the very first night to our closing ceremony on Sunday. Words will never fully be able describe what gets created, cultivated and crafted inside of these spaces.

Thank you to every single woman for trusting your intuition and for coming into this experience with open hearts.

You all added your own unique magic, wisdom, and authenticity into the space.

Thank you for being willing to meet yourself, and eachother in new ways.

It was beautiful witnessing you in your tears, your fears, your truth, your desires, your heart & your art. 🎨🩷

Moments like this are unexplainable to the human brain yet have ripple effects beyond what meets the naked eye. Truly a gift to watch and witness so much shift in one weekend.

Continue to speak life into your becoming
Trust your truth and know from the deepest
places within you how held you are in love 🧚

You are Divinity in motion
Creation in formation
Soul in body
Multidimensional in expression

Until we dance again 💛

Our Summer Art Camp held at @washingtonsausd recently wrapped up their summer of fun!

In class paintings, chalk murals, assisting the Washington muralist, and weekly field trips to the @ocmamuseum! Sounds like an ideal way to spend your summer days!

Thank you OCMA for partnering with us and for the weekly educational trips for our students.

SAUSD Arts invited district leaders from various departments to engage in round 2 of design thinking to reimagine what school systems, leadership, and work looks like that benefits students as a whole.

Dr. Sabba Quidwai guided our conversations and work through AI prompts and collaboration! She is also our guest on this Friday’s podcast episode! 👀

Stay tuned as the work unveils!

“The more we become able to become a child again, to keep ourselves childlike, the more we can understand that because we love the world and we are open to understanding, to comprehension, that when we kill the child in us, we are no longer.”

Last week, SAUSD Arts teachers gathered at the Bowers Kidseum for a day of creativity, collaboration, and childlike wonder 🎨

As secondary arts teachers, it’s easy to get caught up in the demands of our profession and forget why we fell in love with the arts in the first place. But at SAUSD Arts, we never forget.

Our PLC day was a beautiful reminder of the power of play, laughter, and cross-discipline collaboration. When we come together like this, we become stronger as a community 💪

A select group of our arts educators just finished their last Design Thinking course with @askmsq.

We thoroughly enjoyed these last few months filled with critical thought and innovative ideas. Excited to see where this road takes us in the coming years.

Yesterday a group of arts educators met for their second “Design Thinking” workshop with Ms. Sabba Quidwai.

They brainstormed ways on “How Might We..,” an open ended prompt designed to collectively elevate the arts programs in SAUSD.

The day went by fast and so many ideas were planted, you could feel the excitement in the room. We can’t wait for the third session and how we can bring these ideas to fruition in our programs.

Educators, innovators, and thought leaders of various arts disciplines district-wide are meeting together this year with @askmsq to reflect, rethink, and redesign what an arts education could look like for all students within SAUSD Arts.

We’re loving the discussions and ideas that are coming forth from all our wonderful educators and we can’t wait to see what blooms from this in the classroom. Bringing in our experiences, perspectives, and value to better build community through design thinking we begin with a big question, “How might we...”
