2 weeks on and some time to reflect on just how much of an achievement that was. To quote @_mitchhutch book Limitless - I’ve conquered my own Everest.

Despite everything that was thrown at me from injury to dangerous conditions on the Lake, punctures and flood & storm warnings I did it.

River Rhone source to sea expedition is in the bag. 2 down 3 to go. Time to step the training up for 1100km across Spain and Portugal following the River Tagus next year.

Day 19 the last day. 112km on the bike and the River Rhone Complete! ✅

It was hard holding my emotions back at the end. The realisation that I was about to complete something many said was not doable. And whilst at it raising awareness and funds for vital research for the @mssocietyuk

Rhone complete! ✅

Day 18, the penultimate day, is complete. 33km hiked. Not as planned but progress is progress. Seeing all the destruction of the storms online from yesterday reassured us that the call we made to escape east and have the day off was the right call.

Thankfully the @lowauk boots combined with the @dexshell_uk waterproof trekking socks kept my feet bone dry on the soggy walk today.

Unfortunately given the distance left to cover by end of tomorrow leaves only 1 option for the last day. 110 on the bike tomorrow to complete this epic expedition.

Just 1.5 days and 110km to go! We will finish tomorrow one way or another. Then that will be the 880km source to sea expedition down the river Rhone complete.

Please if you are able to donate you’ll find the link in the bio.

Well Day 17 didn’t happen.
The amber alerts for rain and flood got upgraded to red and then extreme overnight to the point where early morning we got the loud forced government alerts through to all our phones. Our campsite was next to the river so we packed up and headed to Orange to work out a plan.

Ultimately decided to take a day off and regroup. But that’s the end of kayaking. I’ve got 130km to now cover in 2 days as I’m time-boxed to finish this ok Friday.

Day 14 - the last day on the bike (maybe). Another 100km+ smashed. My whole body hurts. Im mentally and physically drained but the end is now in site!

Less than 200km to go and 5 days in the kayak. Having said that there is a really strong headwind forecast over this week and with the river levels being so low across Europe there isn’t much flow either.

We will see how things pan out. In the meantime if you’re able to donate please do. You can find the link in my bio.

Well it wouldn’t be Day 13 without some bad luck.
After enjoying a long section of flowing single track gravel (perfect for the @meridabicyclesuk Silex 7000) I got another puncture just 10 minutes from the campsite. I walked a few 100m to the nearest road and was collected by Ben. Couldn’t fix the puncture as I snapped my last tyre lever.

But another 120km smashed out.

Day 11 - What a F**king disaster.
3 punctures and nearly a lost drone,
but just over 100km cycled, and the mission goes on.

Link in the bio to donate if you’re able.
