✨ Meet Kaitlyn Trowbridge! ✨

We’re shining a spotlight on Kaitlyn Trowbridge, President of @ad2austin! 👋

Kaitlyn is an Associate Director of Programmatic at Jump 450, an Omnicom performance marketing agency, where she focuses on media investment and strategy. She’s been in the advertising industry since 2020, beginning her career at Starcom in Chicago, and recently earned her MBA in Marketing from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.

When it comes to advertising, Kaitlyn is all about media! From negotiating media deals and developing strategies that connect to broader business goals to staying on top of industry trends and discovering new opportunities, she loves that the work keeps her learning and on her toes.

One of her favorite Ad 2 Austin events is Pitch Your Agency, an opportunity for young professionals to showcase their agencies, learn about the Austin advertising community, connect across disciplines, and get students involved. (And yes, there’s even a silly banana trophy for the winner.)

Outside of advertising and Ad 2, Kaitlyn has another pretty unique role: professional soccer referee! She’s been officiating since 2010 and has been working in professional leagues since 2020, traveling across the U.S. to officiate games.

At the heart of it all, Kaitlyn is a believer in the power of community - wherever it happens and wherever it appears!

We’re excited to have Kaitlyn and Ad 2 Austin continuing to build community, create opportunities, and bring fresh ideas to the industry!

Your first few years in the industry come with a LOT of questions, we got to tackle some of them yesterday.

Yesterday, some of our AD2 Austin board members had the opportunity to sit down with students at Texas State University for a candid Q&A about navigating the early stages of a career.

We talked about:
💡 Building the right mindset early in your career
🎯 Standing out in today’s job market
🚀 Finding opportunities as a young professional
📈 The current state of the advertising + creative industry
💬 Career advice we wish we had heard sooner
👋 What it’s actually like working in our respective fields
🤝 And how AD2 Austin can help you build connections, experiences, and community along the way

One of our favorite parts of being part of AD2 is getting to share what we've learned, learn from the next generation, and help create a stronger creative community in Austin!

Thank you to our amazing Board members and Panelists:
