Y’all know I am a @folklore.grove fan, I love their events, taste in books, and the love that they have for the DFW bookish community. I am devastated for them and the loss of their brick and mortar store to a horrible fire. I also feel for @smashtoastfood who helped in the magic that is @folklore.grove ❤️‍🩹

In your 30s one of your best friends will try and convince you to dip to the ultimate nerd level and start an all girl D&D group (shout out @liam.the.mac for dealing with our insanity) - and it’s VERY important you do it.

It’s only been a few months, but I’m feeling so incredibly thankful and sappy this week.

To the DFW bookish community; thank you for showing up for me in a way I REALLY needed. You’ve become a family and community right when I felt like I really lost the one I had. You’ve given me really fantastic friends, you’ve given me sisters, and you’ve even given me grandmothers who come in just to tell me how proud they are. I cannot express how much that means to me. No words, truly.

To my best friends, Bobby and Casie and Mouse and Faith, Samantha and Liam and so many others; thank you for sticking by my side through the hardest year of my life, and for loving me at my lowest. I would literally not be here without you all, and you make life so incredibly rich.

To my husband and my family, thank you for believing in me. Thank you for spurring me on and encouraging me and praying for me. Thank you for supporting me through what was (and still is) an incredibly hard transition period.

And finally, I thank God for the way this bookstore came to be. It was a literal miracle that I had the time and space and money to do this, and it makes no earthly sense.

Okay I’m done being sappy now thanks ✌🏻 🧚‍♀️

Folklore Grove holds so much of my heart, and it would feel wrong if I didn’t dedicate space to the other community that made me who I am and keeps me going. This shelf will be a permanent installation in the bookstore no matter where we go because it’s just SO important to me.

As usual, we are so incredibly thankful to all of you who we can call Folklore Family 💕 We love you 🐇
