Another LCC dump 😌 such a silly goofy crew where I’m giggling more than I’m doing anything else. Stoked on some of the boulders I set for the CNQE, I got a chance to learn what a Huntrix meal was, and saw the Great Plains Yucca for the first time (!!). Extra points if you know what bird species is in slide 8.🐦‍⬛

Learning to love Spring 💐🌻🌼 ft.
-A very warm trip to Joe’s
-A lovely visit to see the beautiful @fabienneannick and @mos__jef in their California home
-Liam’s bday, including a surprise gathering
-My garden project in the works + me cryin at the beauty of LIFE with my lil seedlings starting to sprout. I’ve been super interested in growing my own food, building my own things, second hand EVERYTHING.
-Lots of climbin, always. I set out to do two things this season. Spend more solo time on my rigs and get more familiar with the 8a realm. 🤝 I found a lot of mental clarity and focus, which felt really good. Favorite moments include listening to the birds chirp while I rest and soaking in all the quiet.
-Rumi, the queen of the land.
-Trail runnin and baseball szn

‘25 post because this year felt like a big one.

-Started the year off casted up for a partial lig tear in the wrist, didn’t climb for realsies from mid October until about mid March. Bummed hard and pushed for changes to round out life outside of climbin’. Turns out there’s always more to be done on and off the rocks and a lot of that work is carrying over into this year. Striving for more focus, intention, gratification, fun, and connection and hell bent on finding it in all of life’s arenas.
-Ran a ton and went for a slightly underprepared effort at the Boulder skyline traverse which was extremely gratifying in spite of leg cramps I could not have dreamed. It turns out I actually really like running!
-We found a pretty sweet place to rent up in Longmont! Happy to be out of the Denver city grind and loving the spot.
-Once health, @meredithawillingham and I went to the Rocky park every frickin day! (More or less). I think we probably both had our best years of climbing and I think we’ve worked real hard through circumstances that haven’t always been the easiest
-Most importantly. speaking of RMNP, skipping ahead but we got engaged!!! To be wed!!!! Amazing. Happy. Forever style. ❤️❤️❤️ I am so thankful to have a life partner who is funny, curious, thoughtful, smart, and pushes me constantly to look at the “Why’s” in life. I can’t imagine the growth of the last few years without this woman and I am so excited for a lifetime of it.
-Got to spend so much time with friends old and new. Feeling so fulfilled by community and friendship.
-Made a lovely trip for the besties wedding and reconnected with NEngland
-Got psyched as hell on following baseball again.
-good fam time with visits here and visits there.
-idk lots more and too much to sum up in an instagram post but just felt like a significant year of life generally and it’s nice to share here and there even though social media is a mindless hell scape :)

Longtucky!!! One of my favorite comp weeks of all time. Such a silly goofy crew that are so talented and full of support and stoke. Some events I walk away exhausted and drained, and some events like this one I walk away thinking “damn I love this shit!!” ❤️🥹

The Beckoning Silence

To all the haters that think comp style moves don’t exist outside. This thing is so sick! It has got to be the best boulder I’ve ever climbed. Modern day coordination move into a pretty technical high ball with just enough holds on it to be possible. Big shout out to Kai for building an amazing landing and getting some sick footage!!! If you can’t tell I did not rehearse any of the moves for the top, also I had to speed up my mental break before doing the final mantle. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Berry season is in full swing with a twinge of fall in the air! Trout are in absolute abundance for the boys. Rafaela is slumping, but we still ALWAYS UP. I finally ascended Toe Hook V5, tg I didn’t use a heel hook. Comb trainer. @liamab is making a fun little edit of our summer so far, so enjoy the teasers of a little climbing, a little baseball, a little Jo.

A little life magic featuring:

✨RMNP magic. If you’re part of RMNP summer camp, you know. A feeling of deep wholeness, learning, digging deep, WOOP, and raucous rounds of 20 questions. These are the moments I’ll never forget. Sends are just the icing on the cake, including some of my favorite summits Eternia and Real Large, watching Liam send absolutely everything including White Noise, The Phoenix, Aslan. Noah destroying Top Notch. Kai showing up with all the support and fun despite some tough injuries.
✨ Friendship magic, including Ariel’s bachelorette, tubing the Vrain, spike ball and blitz ball fun, baseball games (I’m in my Red Sox era and ilysm Cedanne), HORSE, porch hangs.
✨Family magic. So fun to have our families visit as Liam and I moved into our enchanted witch cottage (ambient scene not included).

Two very different climbers on this V6/7 crimpy boulder. Kai and I like to joke that we have completely opposite climbing styles.

I tend to struggle on compression boulders with wide pinches or slopers but Kai loves that stuff. My height and small fingers lead me to climb on crimps like this boulder problem!

We were both climbing on this v6/7 so I thought I would show you the result! Next time I need to film it from the same angle though so you can see the differences better.

Can you guess the grade? This boulder is from a recent competition at my gym.

I noticed the routesetters forerunning it the other day so I filmed their attempts! They all have different methods for making the run and jump work.

Ethan even did the last few moves so you can see how the boulder finishes. Honestly that part looks even tricker than the run & jump to me!
