Have you ever asked yourself, WHY do you tone your skin? 🤔

In a society where beauty standards are taking the place of intelligent minds, where appearance is increasingly valued over substance, this is a conversation that needs to be had. It’s time to question the standards we have been taught to accept and redefine what beauty truly means.

5 FACTS ABOUT EKOGOND QUARTERLY CONGRESS
IT IS MORE THAN A MEETING
Beyond reports and deliberations, Congress is about laughter, connection, unity, growth, and the collective advancement of the dance profession. It reminds us that while we may dance in different communities, we belong to one Guild, one family.

EVERY COMMUNITY HAS A VOICE
The Congress provides a space for communities and members to share ideas, make contributions, raise concerns, and participate in conversations that shape the Guild.

IT HAPPENS EVERY QUARTER
The EKO GOND Quarterly Congress is a recurring gathering that brings members of the Guild, dancers & dance lovers together every quarter ( 3 months ) throughout the year to connect, deliberate, and stay actively involved in the affairs of the Guild.

IT BRINGS DANCERS & DANCE COMMUNITIES TOGETHER
It is a platform where dancers and dance communities from different parts of Lagos State come together, creating opportunities for networking, interaction, and collaboration.

EACH CONGRESS HAS A DIFFERENT HOST COMMUNITY
The Quarterly Congress moves across different dance communities, giving various communities the opportunity to host and showcase their environment, people, and dance culture. This last congress was hosted by SURULERE Dance Community, the next Congress will be hosted by the BADAGRY Dance Community.

Some grief never gets announced. No funeral. No flowers. No tiny coffin. Just two people learning how to continue living after losing someone the world never got the chance to meet.

“To the child who was never born.” 🖤

This poem is also dedicated to the children who have been abducted by maroulding gangs of no particular origin in past times and present times, children whose dreams have been denied from being born, it's not only about miscarriage of babies but of our dreams, our ambitions, the miscarriage of a nation.

That is the purpose of this poem, Feeling the pain of all the people.

Actors on IG 👀
I’ve decided to start posting random monologues/scenes for fun 😭
If you’re dramatic and interested… act them out, collaborate with me and tag me 😂
Could be serious. Could be chaotic. Could be overacted. I honestly just want to see different interpretations.
This is the first monologue 🎭
