A glimpse into a core memory…
One day late posting this for National Coaches Day, but this one deserved to be shared.⚾️💜🥎

National Coaches Day isn’t just about me being a coach. It’s also about celebrating my husband, @dvandy7
Coach V. @chandlerhighbaseball

This is one of my favorite moments I captured during his baseball coaching career last year—not only because of the video, but because of what I was able to witness in that moment.

All three of our kids were there.

⚾️Our middle son was a senior on his team.
⚾️Our oldest was a senior in college, finishing up his collegiate baseball career.
🥎And our daughter had just come from her softball game.

And there stood my husband, surrounded by athletes and coaches that God had given him the opportunity to mentor, coach, challenge and pour into.

Being a coach’s wife is not easy by any means.

There are late nights. Long seasons. Missed dinners. Waiting for your husband to come home. And there are moments when you can feel left out or even forgotten.

But those moments are temporary.

As a believer in Christ, I have to remind myself that I am never alone.

When those feelings begin to peek through the cracks of the late nights and long seasons, I have to remember WHO I belong to.

Because the enemy would love nothing more than to make me question what God has called my husband to do—and what He has called me to do as his wife.

Being a coach’s wife is part of my calling, too.

Trust me… if it were easy, there would be a whole lot more coaches’ wives. 😂

But just like anything else in life, when you choose to do it with Christ and through Christ, He makes a way.

I’m incredibly proud of my husband.

Proud of the coach he is.
Proud of the mentor he continues to be.
Proud of the father he is.
And proud to stand beside him in this calling.

Happy belated National Coaches Day to my forever favorite coach. ⚾️💜🥎

This might be one of the hardest things you’ll ever do:

Show up for yourself.

As a wife, mom, business owner, coach, podcaster, and YouTuber, there is always someone who needs me.

But I’ve learned that putting my own life jacket on first isn’t selfish.

It’s necessary.

Because how can I teach my own kids and my clients/athletes to show up for themselves if I’m not willing to do the same?

Let them think it’s cringy.
Let them have an opinion.

Their opinion of you is not your business. Your purpose is.

Be disciplined enough to show up.
Do the work.
Fill your cup.
Then pour into others.

Every pitcher brings different strengths at different ages, different levels and different seasons.
Don’t let someone else’s doubt become your identity as the pitcher and even as the parent of a pitcher.

Extra Innings👇
Ask yourself this…What helps you keep believing in yourself when you feel overlooked?

I’ve learned that faith isn’t about sitting back and waiting for God to do everything for me.

I can pray for the opportunity, ask God to lead me, and trust His plan—but then I have to be willing to take action.

To do the work.
To stay disciplined.
To keep showing up.
To trust Him even when I can’t see the whole path.

That’s true in my life, and it’s something I want every pitcher I work with to understand too.

Pray. Trust. Prepare. Take action.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.”
Colossians 3:23

First game in the books with my new team!

Had a great time competing in our scrimmage against Suncats Jimenez 18U and getting into a rhythm on the mound.

Game Highlights:

75% First Pitch Strikes🎯
67% Overall Strike Percentage
62% Weak Contact / Ground Ball Production
2 IP, 16 batters faced.
Huge thanks to my teammates for making plays behind me. Ready to keep building and working hard this season!

Working the East-West planes in my latest bullpen session! 🟢🟡

Focused on precision sequencing with my screwball and curveball, hitting my green (strike) and yellow (waste/chase) color zones on the plate. Finished the mix by dialing in the drop ball—feeling incredibly sharp locating it against both RHH and LHH.

Always tracking data and getting better.
