**Part 1 ** My friend is a very talented photographer. I'm a big fan of his, in life , in general. When he says "hey little fella, let's get out and take some pics of that fancy new hog." It was an offer I couldn't refuse. Thanks for making me look cool for a couple of hours. Photos were the bonus. The laughs and almost getting crushed by the Breaking Bad motorhome was the real treat.

The Dreadnought has become a staple bike in my fleet for the last three years. I’ve built a few of them up now, and this one here has to be my favourite freeride build yet! Purpose built for everything from rippin bike park, navigating steep chutes, to flying over some of the biggest jumps in the world. This is my go to rig. Really excited to build this one up with some new goodies this year as well, and I think it turned out pretty deadly!

I haven’t really touched a creative note with my ‘Old Kids’ portrait series in the last six months.

I started this series at the beginning of 2024 when I was truly feeling burnt out with the state of my work life. I was craving some sensation of control or even just creative criteria to work with, after years of bike industry jobs that had zero brief or structure to shoot for.

The series had a couple goals for me.
- learn to balance strobes with ambient light smoothly enough to trick the untrained eye of a viewer
- work from set criteria that included one light only and specific shape or light across wildly different environments
- feel what it’s like to show up with a clear understanding of what needs to happen for a shoot to be ‘successful’ before I lift my camera to my eye.

This series taught me a lot about how to control the light in different settings, and it has given me a much deeper understanding of how to pitch outcomes for assignments, as well as produce my own pre-vis and shot lists before assignments.

Most of all, working on this series taught me to look at light differently, more carefully, than I used to know how to.

Old Kids sort of feels like it created what I needed.
But I’ll still call it ‘on going’ because, well, that feels fitting to leave the playful thing in play 🖤
And I have to give the most epic THANK YOU to everyone who let me shoot their photo throughout this experiment. I’m looking forward to more soon. Maybe. Probably.

Not trying to wish the summer away, but looking forward to fog 😻

Built for the full ride. Breathable enough for the climb, durable enough for the descent, and ready for everything in between.

Counting down the days till I can get back the bike park again. Bummed to have missed opening weekend, but stoked to back in the mountains with the homies soon enough!

It’s sure feels nice to show up with a facelift on my website
😊

I’ve spent a few years shifting toward a very lifestyle and portrait inspired approach to my work. Focused on the slow moments around fast movement. The unmistakably human rituals, rhythm, and connections that form a sense of belonging in our lives.
And I’m feeling really excited to run further with that style this year.
I’d be so stoked if you take a moment to look through these pages. And please don’t be shy if it inspires any thoughts of people or brands I should be chatting with 🙏🏽

Thanks for the love❤️

The wait is finally over, @srammtb XX DH Transmission is finally here! Confidence inspiring toughness, and fully focused silence. I’m really excited to get this on a bunch more bikes this year, and the OChain being really helpful while flying down chunky big mountain scree slopes. The new designed XX DH cranks are not only stronger but machined for wear, letting them look fresher for longer. Also coming in multiple sizes 165-150, I’m running 155 currently on a few bikes and really enjoying that.
