We don’t even know where to begin except with THANK YOU. 💙⚓️ After a postponed date, a Nor’easter, weather pivots, venue changes and about a million moving pieces, WE DID IT

The 36th Annual Greenport Maritime Festival happened because an entire community decided it was going to happen. We are so grateful to every person, business, sponsor, volunteer and neighbor who helped bring this weekend to life.

A HUGE thank you to Eastern Long Island Hospital for title sponsor; The Oyster Estate Land & Sea sponsor; the Greenport American Legion for opening its doors to us; and every restaurant, vineyard, brewery and donor who made the night possible.

Thank you Julia King for organizing our music + Treiber Farms for supporting our stages; Francis Walton, David Katz + Murray Design & Build for the Cardboard Boat Races; Burger Construction + Peconic Star for the Fishing Derby; Tod Hart + Joe Corso for the parade sponsored by Peconic Marine; Blu J Marine + Little Creek Oysters for fish fillet comp; Blue Duck Bakery, 1943 Pizza + Brix & Rye for pie eating; Project Hot Sauce for our hot sauce contest; First + South; North Fork Dog dock diving; Wooden Boatworks for the Regatta; and Douglass Marine for sponsoring AND organizing the Work Boat Race; East End Seaport Museum + Sailing Surprise for community rowing; Verona + Melissa of VEME winners of our newly invented 😂 Maritime Creative Spirit Award!

To our Grand Marshal Dave Abatelli, thank you for the boats in the park and for your years of dedication to Greenport and its maritime traditions.

To the Village crew + administration and EVERYONE working behind the scenes, thank you.

And to everyone who SHOWED UP, our friends, families, businesses, visitors, volunteers, vendors, musicians, boat captains, artists and supporters, thank you for believing in us! Because that’s what Greenport does.

We adapt. We call our neighbors. We move things around. We put on another layer. We get the boats in the water. And we show up for each other. 36 years of Maritime. One resilient little village. One unforgettable weekend. Thank you, Greenport. ⚓️💙 Until next year!

P.S. there are so many more to thank but let’s start here!

Taking on a 35-year-old tradition is a bit like heading out to sea. You can plan all you want, but you never really know what you’re getting into.

That’s the thing about this place. People show up. They figure it out. They make things happen. Not always gracefully, not always in agreement, but together.

This weekend has been one BIG reminder of what living on the North Fork is all about.

What we do for each other. What we make possible together.

Shuck yeah, Greenport

In order to have a village, you need to be a villager 🫶🏻

Thank you to everyone who showed up, volunteered, sponsored, participated, supported our local businesses, and helped make this festival happen!

And just like that, another Greenport Maritime Festival is in the books! Here are some moments that made this year’s celebration one to remember.

What was your favorite? Tell us in the comments!

A big thank you to the North Fork Country Club for opening their doors to W.E.B. tonight and making us feel so welcome!

What a great turnout for our monthly meeting. It was wonderful to see familiar faces, meet some new ones, and enjoy such warm hospitality.

And the sushi! We’ll be talking about that for a while. As they say, membership has its perks, and tonight’s house-made sushi was certainly one delicious perk! 🍣

Thank you for a wonderful evening! 💙
See you all next month!

Thank you to everyone who joined us tonight in Greenport for the opening reception of ASKASQÁYUW WACUW (Green Hill)!

We’re grateful to North Fork Art Collective for partnering with Ma’s House to bring this exhibition together, and to all the participating artists for sharing their work and perspectives on land, memory, transformation, and Indigenous presence.

It was wonderful to see so many artists, friends, and community members come together to celebrate Indigenous creativity and the histories and relationships that continue to shape Long Island.

If you missed tonight’s opening, the exhibition remains on view through November 30, 2026, at North Fork Art Collective, 207 Main Street, Greenport, NY.

Guest curated by Jeremy Dennis of Ma’s House & BIPOC Art Studio.
