Leading up to my 40th, I was feeling all the feels and really in my head — a mix of nostalgia, disbelief, and excitement. There was that little pang of sadness (“wait, is my youth really over?”), a heavy dose of excitement (“everyone says your 40s are when the fun really starts”), and a whole lot of how did we get here so fast and why does time feel like it’s speeding up?!Because honestly, I still feel 27 most days.

But when the day finally arrived, all I felt was an overwhelming wave of gratitude. Gratitude for every single person who’s made my life so full, fun, and beautiful.

I’m truly the luckiest — surrounded by the greatest family and friends, near and far, who went above and beyond to make this weekend so special. (Extra love to my friend @lrbunnett who showed up on my doorstep and completely surprised me 🥹.)

I’ve decided I’m celebrating all year long, with everyone I love, to kick off this new decade right. Here’s to 40 — caring about what truly matters which is all of the special people in my life. 🤍✨
