Contemporary abstract painter | Paintings that balance stillness with movement, drawing on aerial perspective, memory, and shifting terrain | WA & UK

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Where distant landscapes seem afar, yet are forever connected in our minds, memories and hearts. ‘Magnetic Attraction’ is a timeless abstract seen from an aerial-perspective where a ‘bridge’ symbolically connects both hemispheres in harmony.
Layered tonal blues in opaque and transparent paint both conceal and reveal subtle textural mark-making. 92x92x4cm Acrylic on canvas AU$4,000 Available on my website or via ARTLOVERS Online Gallery (payments by instalment available). #artforsale #interiordesignerswa #australianinteriors #abstractart

I’d only flown to Perth from Petworth (where I also have a studio), just in time for the Army Art 51st Show, Preview Night at Leeuwin Barracks! This show was run like clockwork (of course!) and beautifully curated. What a fun night it was chatting to lots of lovely visitors and artists .😀. Surrounded by lots of great 2D and 3D art and enjoying the very generous Army hospitality 🥂🥂. Accompanied by a great band of Military musicians playing fab music! I’m so grateful to have participated this year. A big thank you to AMANDA of Army Art WA for helping me with the logistics of arranging things from Overseas, and to my lovely brother BILL, who delivered my two paintings on my behalf. My grateful thanks to my new collectors.🙏#gratitudeisamust #petworthartist #perthinteriordesign #abstractartistwa

I’m looking forward to some more flying this Spring/Summer with my darling husband, Bob! The WA coastline is very beautiful with its Turquoise, pristine waters (we may even see some Whales 😀) and vast, clean beaches of silvery sand, stretching for miles. The air is clear and unpolluted, unlike the skies in some other parts of the world, so visibility for flying around Perth and my favourite region, the South West, is just perfect. Apart from the flying being a lovely experience in itself, the aerial perspective enables me to take some interesting photos and importantly, register emotional impressions of the landscape I’m observing, which later informs my abstract art. If you want to learn a little more about me, and see a selection of my original contemporary, abstract paintings, just tap on the link to my website in the bio above. #abstractartist #flyingforfun #paintinginspiration

DAY 1
🎥 BFI London Film Festival
for the film
Making Marie Antoinette
Eleanor Coppola’s documentary on the making of Marie Antoinette is a rousing love letter to filmic craft and the joys and complexities of leading an artistic life. RED CARPET oooopss!!!! 🫢🫢🫢 i mean Black Carpet suited me as i was bit raggedy in my torn jeans and rough look.😅😳😏

‘MIND GAMES’ is the title of this large, original abstract painting, which seems particularly apt right now, as we navigate our way through the complexities of the world in which we now live. This bold contemporary painting, is atmospheric with expressive mark-making and alludes to an aerial perspective, where distant lands and communities forever remain connected. In mixed-media on linen, professionally framed in a substantial European wood floater frame, framed size: 104x104x5cm. £2,500 Available in UK, West Sussex. Please DM for more details.
