Much of audiobook work is acquired through emails. In this essay, @KarenCommins shares pointers on what keywords to include in your correspondence. Many casting directors save emails and search for key terms when casting. Karen's approach to this piece is pragmatic, encouraging, and fun. Find her online at https://karencommins.com and The Narrator's Roadmap, and listen to her perform in this audiobook. #audiobooks #gettinggigs #narration #keywords #reachout

It’s been an absolute dream to collaborate with @tanya_eby and this group of talented audiobook narrators on Tanya’s second volume of her Narrator’s Handbook.
I’ve been following Tanya’s reassuring advice, insights, and wisdom through her Substack since I began this wonderful journey and I’m so honored to be included in this cast. I really believe I am where I am today largely due to her first Narrator’s Handbook.
Out soon in July!! #audiobook #narrators

The beginnings of a baby blanket while glamping at #brazosbendstatepark TX, using linen stitch, also referred to as moss stitch or granite stitch. It’s a very simple, two-row repeat stitch and works up beautifully, very quickly creating a lightweight, close-knit fabric without any holes. Simply single crochet (sc), chain one (ch1) and repeat across the row then sc into the ch1 spaces and ch1 over the sc stitches from the previous row. I don’t ch1 before turning at the end of a row. I just sc into the first stitch and find I get a neater edge that way. I’m using @lionbrandyarn Ice Cream yarn in tutti frutti colours and a 5.5mm hook. Watch this space, once I’ve created a square I’m going to change tactic and continue expanding the blanket working round the edge and adding some texture. @karencommins you inspired me to make another video. Thank you for asking and this project would be very easy for you to do. It doesn’t have to be a baby blanket. It could be a cozy blanket for your couch #babyblanket #crochet #linenstitch
