Saw a post about 6 months ago doing this cardboard box trend and sent it to Emmy, who was immediately on board to take all the pictures. Somehow, we were able to convince all 55 people in our family to crawl into a box for a photoshoot, and after some editing, we are thrilled with the results! A perfect encapsulation of our Geiger OBX trip this summer, and I will forever be grateful to be a part of this whacky family 💕

Karen Geiger is a speech language pathologist, therapeutic journaling facilitator, and mindful writing teacher and she’s on a mission to make sure women in midlife don’t just survive the transition, they rewrite it on their own terms.

In this episode, Karen joins me to talk about the power of journaling as a tool for reclaiming your narrative. Her work began inside a cancer center, where she witnessed firsthand how therapeutic writing could change the way people process what’s happening to them. Now she’s bringing that same intentionality to perimenopause and menopause because medical care matters, but so does your mindset.

A day at EmpowHer Miami and I am still thinking about the conversations.

A room full of women who are done waiting to be told what they need to know about their own bodies. Clinicians who refuse to dismiss them.

Founders building what medicine has been slow to provide.

Quick trip to speak @empowhermiami with @drjilasenemar . Full schedule. So much meaning.✨

Spoke at empowHER.
Filmed a TV segment.
Recorded a podcast.
Connected with incredible women.
Visited @booksandbooks and signed 50 copies!
Reconnected with a friend- and made new ones along the way.

It was a lot in a short time.

And the only reason it worked?
I built in moments to reset.

A quiet coffee.
A breath between things.
A pause to come back to myself.

Because yes- sometimes we do need less on our plate.
But when that’s not possible, it’s not always about saying no…
it’s about learning how to make it work for you.

Creating space within the full.
Finding moments to reset along the way.

This trip was fast, full, and meaningful-
without losing myself in the process.

We’re (over the moon) excited to be hosting an incredible lineup of speakers for the 2nd Annual SoMeDocs Menopause Conference this year, chaired by Dr. Dana Corriel, @drcorriel.

This event brings together physicians and health experts who are deeply engaged in advancing conversations around menopause care, with thoughtful, evidence-based discussions designed to support clinicians in caring for patients through this important life stage.

One of the things we all appreciate most about this conference is how accessible it is. The entire event is online, making it easy to attend from anywhere, and the registration cost is intentionally kept reasonable so more clinicians can participate.

The program is beautifully organized and professionally produced, with a strong focus on practical insights and meaningful dialogue. Attendees can also choose to complete optional CME reflection credits connected to the sessions.
