last month i spent a week and half learning how to build a catenary arch kiln at @watershedceramics with the expert guidance of @tylergulden and @chouinard.ceramics. our team loaded and fired the kiln shortly after and the resulting surfaces were soft and oh so subtle… but still dynamic! this pot is one of my favorites from that firing. white rose clay with penn state shino as a liner on the inside. also some snippets of building, firing, kiln-side oyster shucking, animal friends, and an inspiring studio visit.

What an incredible weekend immersed in art and creativity ✨ On Saturday, I set up at the Montclair Flea holiday market, and then Sunday I got to visit the Old Church pottery show where I was completely blown away by the stunning work on display. Getting to meet the artists I admire and hear about their processes, techniques, and inspiration was truly special—their generosity in sharing their knowledge made it even more meaningful. I also participated in the Betty’s Ceramic Club holiday market, though I couldn’t be there in person. Grateful for a weekend that fed my creative soul and reminded me why I love this community 🤍 #potteryshow #ceramicart #contemporaryceramics #oldchurchpotteryshow #montclairflea #montclairnj #holidaymarket #artistcommunity #creativeinspiration #meetthemaker #handmadepottery #ceramicsofinstagram #artweekend #njartist #supportlocalartists #creativejourney #artistlife #makersgonnamake #fleamarket #artinspiration
