“The Palestinian national movement is in an advanced state of disarray and disintegration.”

Middle East Analyst and Co-Editor of Jadaliyya @Jadaliyya, Mouin Rabbani, examines the crisis facing the Palestinian national movement. Despite growing international public support for Palestinian rights, he argues that the absence of unified, credible leadership remains a major obstacle to translating that support into meaningful political change.

Phoenix Space Student @ahmad_masoud__ arrived in the Netherlands! 💜

After years of studying through bombardment, uncertainty and fear, Ahmed has finally made it to the Netherlands to begin his Master’s degree in Globalisation and Law. 🇵🇸🎓

Ahmed secured exceptional grades, an incredible achievement that reflects the years of hard work, determination and dedication he has put into his education.

We are so incredibly proud to have supported Ahmed on his journey and, most of all, of the incredible bravery he has shown along the way. We cannot wait to see where this next chapter takes him and the future he will build for himself.

At present, there aren’t always many reasons to celebrate. But every student we are able to support is a reason to keep going.
🌟A reason to keep fundraising.
🌟A reason to keep pushing.
🌟A reason to keep believing in what education can make possible.

Ahmed is one of many incredibly talented Palestinian students who deserve the opportunity to continue their education, gain an internationally recognised degree and unlock their full potential.
Education is not just about what someone can achieve today. It is about giving people the opportunity to shape their own future, shape their communities future and helping safeguard the future of Palestine through its people, knowledge and talent.

Welcome to the Netherlands, Ahmed ❤️

Geopolitical Analyst & Former Diplomat at the Israeli Foreign Ministry, Shaiel Ben Ephraim @shaielben – says Britain’s sanctions against Israeli settlers do not go far enough, arguing that failing to sanction Israel itself sends a message that its actions in Gaza will have no consequences.

He describes the measures as an attempt to appear tough on Israel without actually pressuring its government to change course.

“The Hannibal Directive was invoked on October 7th.”

Shaiel Ben-Ephraim @shaielben says the controversial Israeli military directive was used amid the chaos of the Hamas attack, potentially killing hostages to prevent them from being taken captive.

He argues that its use on October 7 was largely driven by panic and that the scale of its implementation remains significantly disputed.

“It is in our own self-interest and economic interest to disband that power that oppresses the Palestinians.”

Kovie Biakolo @koviebiakolo argues that Africa’s support for Palestine should not be viewed purely through emotion or solidarity, but also through the lens of national interest.

She says allowing colonial power structures to persist elsewhere creates a precedent that can ultimately have consequences for Africa itself.

“Fatima Benawi is a Nigerian-Palestinian liberator whose story deserves to be remembered.”

Kovie Biakolo @koviebiakolo explores why Fatima Benawi, a Nigerian-descended figure who joined the Palestinian resistance, remains largely unknown to many Nigerians despite her enduring significance in Palestine.

Her story also raises a bigger question about how Nigeria remembers its own history, its diaspora, and the struggles of those who fought for liberation beyond its borders.
