Femininity in fashion has never been a fixed concept. For Australian designer Karla Špetić, it becomes a space for experimentation, where romantic references meet contemporary construction and unexpected contrasts. Since establishing her namesake label in 2008, Špetić has developed a recognisable aesthetic that challenges the conventions of traditional womenswear. Her approach brings together intricate detailing, unconventional proportions and a distinctive use of colour, creating collections that feel simultaneously nostalgic and forward-looking. What makes her work particularly compelling is the tension between opposing elements. Delicate materials are given architectural form, while traditionally feminine codes are reinterpreted through a more experimental lens. Within Australia’s fashion landscape, Špetić represents a creative perspective that extends beyond the country’s familiar associations with minimalism and relaxed dressing. A reminder that Australian fashion is not defined by a single aesthetic, but by the individuality of the designers shaping it.

A little throwback to a pretty special HHA moment 🤍 Behind the scenes at Australian Fashion Week 2026, where Halo Hair Australia Invisible Tapes were used for Karla Špetić’s runway show alongside the Revlon Professional team. Quick installation, seamless blending and easy colour matching on the spot gave the team the flexibility to create different looks across the models and help bring Karla’s vision for the collection to life. Seeing our hair used backstage in an environment like this is exactly why we created Halo Hair Australia. Premium-quality hair, beautiful blends, an extensive colour range and an Australian brand created with professional stylists in mind. If you’re a stylist or salon already working with extensions, or looking to introduce them, we’d love you to experience HHA. Use WELCOME20 for 20% off your first order. No trade login required. Plus, shop our full range of professional tools and essentials for your extension installations. I’ve been working on a new way for brands to bring their creative vision to life. The idea is simple: use AI to create more content, explore more ideas and visual worlds, without every idea needing a full production. It’s not about replacing the creative team or the authenticity of the brand. It’s about giving them more freedom to create. Save time, save money and most importantly EXPAND your creative vision 🤍

In May 2023, Slappas featured as the footwear for the Karla Špetić OASIS Resort ’23 runway at Australian Fashion Week in Sydney. Seeing our colourful Slappas styled with Karla’s stunning collection and walking the runway at one of Australia’s biggest fashion events was pretty special for this little Darwin business! 🌴💃 From the markets in Darwin to Australian Fashion Week, Slappas really can go anywhere. #slappas #fashionablefootwear #versitile #comfyfootwear #greatcolours

Who’d have thought Greece would be a safe haven to escape a burning heatwave? Against all odds it has been a beautiful blessing. While Brussels and the rest of Europe was on fire, I’ve been blissfully enjoying the lovely sea breeze and mild temperatures of the Cyclades. So far it’s been about kittens, deep blue water, the friendliest people, mouth watering local dishes, and some of my favorite summer fits. Parakalo!! 🇬🇷 . #greece #nataliejoos #cats #cyclades #greek
