POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Looking back on the 25th edition of LALIFF, we’re proud to celebrate a partnership that continues to create opportunities for emerging storytellers, with fellowship films given a platform at LALIFF.

Over six cohorts of the LFI Inclusion Fellowship and four cohorts of the LFI Spark Animation Fellowship, Netflix has helped filmmakers develop their craft and create meaningful work.

Thank you, Netflix, for your continued partnership. ❤️

Wow! Muchísimas gracias @latinofilminstitute_ @netflix for putting on an epic screening and selecting SILVER BLANKETS to be a part of this fellowship 🥹We worked alongside so many talented filmmakers that I quickly fell in love with 🤩

So grateful to the LFI team @dianamcad @courtproducedit @jorgito_thomson @stevenuribeee @axelspix Jennifer Rios and Sara Seligman for navigating our millions of questions and creating a space to grow and make our our art!

We screened my film, The Drop Off, to a sold out crowd at the Egyptian Theater at @laliff_ as part of the @latinofilminstitute_ and @netflix fellowship. I can’t believe I even get to say that! What a beautiful and amazing event.
The evening was filled with so many moments that made me cry like an old man. But I still had to live it up and laugh as much as humanly possible during the process.
I am forever grateful to the artistic warriors who brought along this film to fruition. From the crew to the post production teams, everyone put in serious work and devotion to rendering the best film that we could.
And of course I couldn’t have done any of this without my family. Even my dad was there, but unfortunately we never got a pic!
So many great hugs and reconnections with old friends and colleagues!

My lord! What a dream come true to screen @pilotosdepapelfilm at the Egyptian theater this past week as part of the private industry showcase with the @latinofilminstitute_ and @netflix 😭

A heartfelt thank you to all my community and friends who showed up to support our films! I know first hand how hard and intense this past 6 months were for all the fellows and I, so I don’t think there’s a better feeling in the world to finally sit down and watch our films in the big screen! 😭🙏

Thank you to my entire post production team who showed up so excited to celebrate, I adore all of you so freakin much!!! 😭♥️ To all my Uruguayans, I missed you terribly! But I know there will be a chance to celebrate soon with all of you! We cannot wait for our world premiere!

Again, a special thank you to @dianamcad @courtproducedit @jorgito_thomson @stevenuribeee and Sara for all the hard work put toward this incredible festival and our films. We had SO much fun!! Thank you @laliff_ for an unforgettable night! ✨♥️ Happy 25 years!

Last week I got to see some of my TFT fam at @laliff_ watch films my @youthcinemaproject_ students made, hang out with some of my favorite comentors, produce an amazing short film with @oscar.flores.films and attend my nephew's @ethan.martiz8 graduation. It was an incredible week, filled with love, pride and hope.
