And because this is not really all about bicycles, as the last post might have you believe, here are just some of the Tuned In London pictures I shared here in the last year that in one way or another mean a lot to me. That’s not to say that they represent the sum total, but they are some of the images I love. It is an honour to be bringing so many great musicians to Rotherhithe. Thank you for the music and for the friendships. Happy 2019 to you.

This is not Tim Karp (on guitar) leading a prayer session.... but Don Kipper in full swing back in March - the band with the biggest volume we've had yet - playing their quietist.... and absolutely fantastic it was too. We have more wonderful photos by Anne Heslop we might share here and have shared on our Facebook page. Have you checked out the programme for our next season yet? It is action packed, super international and includes three gigs on Thursdays as well as our usual Wednesdays, one of which is the next one: Nogabe Randriaharimalala from Madagascar bringing his duo on Thursday 10th May. Buy a ticket online and you stand a chance of winning a CD by this fantastic band, and get yourself kippering, as they say.

Sunday was International Dance Day! Yes, we're two days late with this.... ;) Here're two bits of dancing in our March gigs: Tenzin Phakdon from Tibet and clarinettist Daniel Gouly of Don Kipper. To come in the next season we have the return of Lola Rueda, the first dancer we ever had, then a guest of Chilean guitarist Jorge Bravo and his duo. This time, on Wednesday 23rd May, she's bringing her songs and dance inspired by her recent trips to Cuba. And in June, on Thursday 21st, we're excited to have Belcirque, all six of them, coming from Belgium. They have a lovely song about Rita who "stretches one leg out gracefully" and dances home! Two larger pics are by #AnneHeslop

Don Kipper are a much acclaimed and awarded band and they hail from Hackney. We're enticing them across the river to regale us with their klezmer and Balkan, Turkish and North African rhythms. But be warned: the word is out about this band so don't leave it too late to get your ticket!
