i am deeply honored and thrilled to share that my song Lokah Samastah is out now with @thekarunakirtancollective 🎊🎊🎊

This song is a prayer for remembering our oneness with all things - the fire + the water, the joy + the pain…and remembering that we exist in a web of interconnectedness… and we are all together in this strange dream, in the great mystery… just mirrors of each other in the great dance🌀
a reminder ultimately to have compassion for yourself and all other beings. and to treat everything like it is sacred and alive, because it is, and we are all linked by infinite mycelial threads🌿

I can’t wait to sing it at many, many kirtans for many years to come, and am so happy it is out in the world now. here’s a little about what it means to me. now it’s yours. thanks for listening 💜🪶

“Healing” came together in our #artcommunity at @karunaatitlan 🤗🌞with @emilie_jeannette on backing vox, @clo.bio expressing her heart on 🎻 and @nauvidatha running the machines and mixing 🤗 it really takes a melodious village to bring music to life this! (Having toyed with #ai music I can tell you while you can do fancy things with the machines, the end result doesn’t feel alive and breathing like the music we craft from the air of inspiration ✨)

On the thoughts behind the song:
#Healing is not linear. It’s a process we go through throughout our lives. We and the world suffers if we do not continually undergo a process of reset and renewal, AKA—healing. In the process we must be wise, real, and with eyes open. It’s a process we can also get stuck looping in. That’s not really healing. That’s usually the illusion of healing that is actually complicated strategies to avoid pain.

True healing allows us to hold our pain and the pain of others. These sentiments are what fueled my song “Healing”. Thank you for watching the story behind the song in this video and pre-saving the release in the place links live ☝️( It really helps give the algorithm some juice! 🥤)

Big news! Writer Retreats are back. 🌋

I'm over the moon to announce we'll be hosting writing retreats again at the Karuna Community on the shores of Lago Atitlán, Guatemala, with course originator, friend and author supreme Luke Armstrong.

If you've been carrying a writing project around in your head for longer than you'd like to admit, this is for you.

Past attendees have left with:
📖 A real handle on their craft, not just inspiration
📖 Clarity on what their creative path actually looks like
📖 Meaningful progress on their work,
📖 A concrete plan for what comes next

Lago Atitlán has a way of cutting through the noise. Luke and I are going to make sure you use every hour of the retreat well. First one is this November, and we will be running a retreat in January and February also. 🎉
