Haven’t seen my friends since May, so it was really good to see them again, play together, and play against each other.

3 days of fighting and giving it everything I had, and I came home with a bronze medal 🥉

I lost some games, but they were all really good games. Had a lot of fun and it was always great playing with my friends.

See you next time,PPA

What a weekend in Cary, NC for Nationals!!! Easily the highest level of competition I’ve faced in a single tourney so far. Each round felt like a semifinal/finals match. Great spending time with my friends on tour 🫶🏼

Girls doubles had a 7 team RR. We ended in a three way tie for 1st with the top 3 teams finishing 5-1! Beat the #1 seed and had a chance for Gold in our final match but fell short to the eventual Silver medalists, winning Bronze 🏅. Point differentials are huge! An amazing time building confidence, skill, and experience at the highest junior level in the nation. Loved every minute partnering with my buddy @pickle.diva.gal…so good!

Girls singles was the largest junior bracket I’ve played so far. Fell short in the Bronze match, finishing 4th out of 15 juniors 💪

Mixed doubles was also amazing! Went 2-2 in bracket play. Shout out to @derekpickleball for battling it out with me! Always enjoy playing together D$!

Love playing with my Arronax KVL005 paddle and sporting my purple backpack! Thank you @arronaxpickleball @bonny_arronaxsocialteam

Thanks again to @junior.ppa for another amazing weekend!

Video interviews of junior PPA’ers coming soon!!!

Some lessons don’t come from winning. 😅

Today, in my first game of the CAPA @capickleball 4.5 Mixed, we learned a BIG one.

We started at 2-5-1. (Video 4)After we won three points, the score became 5-5-1.

We didn’t win that point, so it should have gone to 5-5-2.

But our opponents said, “You already served.”

I actually hadn’t. But I wasn’t feeling well, and we didn’t want to argue, so we let it go.

After side out, they didn’t make point at first serve, but won 1 point at second serve, which made it 6-5-2.( video 5)

And that’s when things got really interesting.

Our opponent started telling us, “You only have 3 points.”

We were pretty sure we had called 5-5 very clearly — and the video actually captures us calling it out loud.

So we called the scorekeeper over. After a lot of discussion, the solution was to flip a coin.

We flipped.

And after that whole little mind game, they started at 6-3-1( first serve again)

Honestly, after playing so many tournaments, this was probably the first time I experienced something like this.

Maybe it was because we’re younger.
Maybe because we’re smaller.
Or maybe they just thought they could get away with it. 😅

But my mom always tells me that every tournament costs time, money, and energy — so I better learn something from every match.

And she wrote one sentence in my pickleball journal:

“Respect every opponent.”

So yes, I will respect them.

Because they taught me an important lesson at 11 years old:

Not everyone plays the game the way you expect them to. And sometimes, the best lessons come from the ugliest games.

Anyway, we kept fighting. 💪
We got those 3 points back and kept playing hard.

We still lost the game, but I’m proud of how we fought and stayed together.

After 9 games, we won 5 of them.

And to our opponents: you guys are both very solid players. I truly hope you win many more games in the future…

whatever way works for you. 😉

And Kat— thank you.

I had been sick all week, and after Game 2, my ears got blocked again, my throat hurt so much I could barely swallow, and the headache came back.

But you stayed with me.

We kept fighting.

Thank you for always staying with me and trusting me. ❤️

NJP Global: Asia Tour spent a few unforgettable days with the players at @djoy_sports_academy during our time in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. 🇻🇳

From the pro shop to the smoothie bar, lounge, lecture room, and even bunks for overnight stays, this facility is next level, and the hospitality was even better.

NJP Global is all about: connection, growth, and building relationships that cross oceans.

Already counting down until the next one…👀👀
