Form Check Friday ✔️
Scrambled Eggs

Base Set-Up: Start kneeling on the carriage facing the back of the Megaformer. Place the foot strap around your working foot and extend that leg out to the side. Keep your supporting knee stacked beneath your hip, hands directly under your shoulders, spine neutral, and hips and shoulders square to the floor.

Movement: Keeping your working leg straight, slowly sweep it back toward the front of the machine, squeezing through your glutes. Engage your obliques to control the leg back toward the side of the carriage, stopping just before it aligns with your hip to maintain constant tension.

Muscles: Obliques, Glutes, Hamstrings

You should feel the work primarily through your obliques, with your glutes and hamstrings assisting the movement. Keep your upper body stable, core engaged, and hips and shoulders square to the floor. Avoid twisting through your lower back, shifting your weight, or lifting your working leg beyond your comfortable range of motion. Stay slow and controlled throughout.

Keep these form tips in mind the next time you face Scrambled Eggs in class. 🤍

INSTRUCTOR SPOTLIGHT: KAT ❤️‍🔥

The woman behind the studio, the standards, and the signature red glow.

Believing Pilates and Lagree are two of the most effective ways to train, Kat founded Fit Me SV to bring both methods to Sun Valley. She helps athletes understand their bodies, move with greater precision, and build strength for everything they love to do beyond the studio.

Swipe to meet Fit Me SV’s founder, form fanatic, internal gangster, and usually tired human behind it all.

Form Check Friday ✔️
Mermaid

Base Set-Up: Sit on the back platform facing the side. Tuck your bottom leg underneath you and press the outside of your top foot up against the X-Strap. Keep your chest open and start at a slight angle to maintain tension in your top oblique.

Movement: Slowly lower your body laterally toward the floor, lengthening through your top oblique while keeping your chest open. Squeeze through your oblique to return to your starting position, stopping just before coming all the way up to maintain tension.

Muscles: Obliques

You should feel the work primarily through the top oblique facing the ceiling. Keep your spine long and neutral, chest and shoulders square to the side, and tension constant throughout the movement. Avoid crunching from the hips or rotating your chest toward the floor.

A few things to remember the next time you take on Mermaid.💌

LAGREE x V PANELS

Your instructor told you to lift the V Panels.

You did.

But do you know why?

➡️ swipe through to read some highlights from the blog

#fitmesv #lagreeinstructor #lagreestudio

There isn’t a doubt in my mind that if you’re reading this, Lagree has already crossed your path.

So, let’s talk about the creator of your suffering.

More intensity, less stability. That’s the pocket you get to sit in.

They are an honesty box for your form check. So just when you think you’ve found your stability, the v panels will gleefully sag to you, “that’s not quite how I see it!”

So, why? Because “good enough” has never gotten you anywhere. Not in life, not in love, and not in Lagree.

Friendship is about making sacrifices. Hers just happens to be sleep.

Tag your bestie who this reminds you of.
