Happy closing to the company of THE LOVED ONES!

As we celebrate the final performance, we’re so grateful for the incredible response to Erica Murray’s play this summer. Brought to our Mainstage with great care by director Nicola Murphy Dubey, it has been a joy to see audiences embrace the production.

A huge thank you to the entire company, everyone behind the scenes who made the production possible, and our community for continuing to support vital new work. We were also proud to partner with Broadway Babysitters to offer Irish Rep’s first free childcare matinee.

The play’s journey began in our New Works Reading Series, and we’re grateful to the audiences who joined us at those earliest stages and helped shape the work as it grew. Keep an eye out for our next New Works Reading Series announcement!

✨HAPPY OPENING to THE LOVED ONES✨

Thank You to Erica Murray for gifting us this gorgeous play
I’ll never forget this one ✨
Grateful to this amazing cast & to our fantastic designers & production team. You’ve all been a dream to work with 😊

“Fill your bowl to the brim
and it will spill.
Keep sharpening your knife
and it will blunt.
Chase after money and security
and your heart will never unclench.
Care about people’s approval
and you will be their prisoner. Do your work, then step back.
The only path to serenity.”

My Home on Tremont Street 🌙
I am so proud to be a part of this team. The warmth of our show comes from the overflow of joy and kindness that was brought into the room each day by these extraordinary humans. I am so grateful for the time we shared in Boston and all those delicious meals we ate together. Thank you for every second of it 🧡 Pho Lan is open for just three more performances, but the broth will be hot pho-ever 🌈🌝🍳

✨ The women of THE LOVED ONES.

Ahead of tomorrow's first preview, we're celebrating the extraordinary women behind Erica Murray's sharp, deeply moving, and wickedly funny new play, starring Alana Raquel Bowers, Donna Lynne Champlin, Clare O'Malley, and Maryann Plunkett.

Directed by Nicola Murphy Dubey, this remarkable company has transformed our stage into a remote cottage in County Clare, bringing to life a story of grief, family, resilience, and unexpected connection.

Tomorrow, they share it with an audience for the very first time—and you won't want to miss it. 💚
