POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Last night was @mspmag L’Etoile du Nord: A Fashionopolis Experience at the @artsmia and it was INCREDIBLE! A recap reel is coming, but I had to share these fun pics of my slightly crazy look first. 😂

So, what kind of person are you? Do you meticulously plan your look for an important event weeks in advance, or are you more of a last minute, no planning, just vibes kind of person?

I’m a bit of a mix. I plan the pieces of a look weeks ahead of time, but don’t actually try everything on together until I’m basically getting ready to walk out the door. 😂 Luckily, it usually works out, but it can also lead to some last minute panic!

Thankfully, this one came together! All the pieces are a little crazy and weird on their own, but I took the theme of the night as “be the art” and just went for it. I love that these funky greens are having a moment right now, this dress was perfect, and you can never go wrong with sequins in my book. ✨ Throw in some vintage magic from @staygold.vintage and there you have it!

Now tell me, are you a planner or a just vibes person?

Hands down one of my favorite Halloween pop-ups every year is @nicostacobar ! Not a single detail or square inch is missed. Every surface is covered in Halloween magic! Seriously don’t miss the bathroom upstairs. They have tons of themed drinks in the most adorable mugs and luckily their food is just as good as the decor. Which is honestly hard to top. This pop-up runs through November 1st so grab some friends go get your spooky on 🎃 🧪 ☠️ 🦇 🔮 👻

Fashionopolis is getting a little makeover this year! I’m so excited to be part of Club E’Toile with so many other fabulous creatives around the city to help spread the word about what is sure to be an incredible night! ✨

On Friday, October 23, L’Etoile du Nord: A Fashionopolis Experience is taking over the Minneapolis Institute of Arts for a night of fashion, art, music and community. And this year, it’s happening in TWO parts!

Start at 6pm with The Grand Salon, featuring an intimate fashion parade in Mia’s Jade Corridor highlighting local designers, vintage fashion and independent retailers. Then at 8:30pm, The Twilight Soiree kicks off with a night-at-the-museum party featuring fashion, music, cocktails and light bites.

And the best part? Every ticket includes access to Mia’s incredible new Paris Couture exhibition featuring more than 80 haute couture pieces from the Palais Galliera. Talk about a perfect setting for Fashionopolis!

Dress to express yourself... a great silhouette, interesting texture, bold accessory, vintage, color and drama! YOU are the art 🖼️ Comment FASHION and I’ll send you a link with all the details.

Last week was all about Army Fatigue and Pearls at @lovelyssewing 17th Annual Fall Fashion Show! A theme that was just as meaningful as it was pure fun, as every @keionacook show is, celebrating resilience, growth and perseverance through all the struggles we face these days. We even got to see @qebellacouture collection straight from New York Fashion Week! Everything is made out of men’s ties! And as a pretty cool nod to the theme I wore a 40s jacket from a dress uniform that belonged to my dad’s dad. A loooot of history in one piece of clothing!

All Black Attire by @rtiammoody x @martinpatrick3 was 🔥🔥🔥. It started pouring rain after the last look floated down the runway and everyone scurried to @hewinghotel or @avampls for the after parties, but I was heading off to meet El Jefe and friends before Lily Allen, so didn’t get to say hi to everyone. This is always one of my favorite fashion shows of the year. Congrats to all involved. 🖤🖤🖤

The 9th annual All Black Attire Fashion Show and the annual see Heather wear all black event was last night and it was stunning per usual! How is next year a full decade? 🤯 I was fortunate enough to be dressed by @bittersweetdesignsnk again, and if i@ going to wear black, it’s going to be made by her! The clothes and styling were superb, the weather was gorgeous and the timing was perfect as the show ended just as it started to rain. Cheers to 9 years and I cannot wait for next year! 🖤
