Kate Fagan was a vocational minister in the Presbyterian church for over a decade. She loved the Bible, she loved God, and she was doing all the right things. But, as she reveals in this powerful conversation, she was dying inside.

Despite being steeped in a tradition that prizes biblical knowledge and order, Kate’s heart had grown cold. She was unknowingly living as a
“functional cessationist” —believing God to be distant, predictable, and confined to the systems she could control. She was guarding her heart against the “wild and unpredictable” nature of the Holy Spirit, prioritizing self-preservation over intimacy.

This pursuit of safety led to a crisis: a deep spiritual burnout, bitterness after losing her job, and a panic attack that literally broke her on her kitchen floor. It was the moment God intervened. He shattered the walls of her religious spirit and answered the desperate prayer: “God, will you make me a daughter of the narrow way?”

She shares the story of her three intense, physical encounters with the Holy Spirit-a visceral fire and warmth in her chest that melted her hard-heartedness and proved that the abundant life in Christ is a fearless life.

This episode is a must-watch for anyone who feels stuck in the motions of a “nice Christian life” but is starving for the genuine, earth-shaking, and life-changing love of God. The revival has started, and God wants to do more than you can imagine.
