Just two girls celebrating a little dinner party idea that somehow became a book, a community, and so much more.

A little reminder this Thanksgiving Monday that love, accomplishment, and the things worth celebrating come in all shapes and sizes. And sometimes, the best thing you can do is throw a really big party for something you believed in. 🤍

I have so much to say and so much more gratitude to express, but for now, I just want to say how overwhelmed I am by the support and love from everyone who made the finale possible. It was a beautiful, perfect, special night.

Kate I couldn’t have done any of this without you.

Throughout The Tablescape Series, design has always extended far beyond the table.

Each month, Chef Kate Levitt translated the colour into food, considering not only flavour and season, but how each dish looked, moved, and belonged within the world of the evening. Colour became another ingredient, carrying the story from the table onto the plate.

Along the way, some beautiful desserts became part of that language too, from the incredible cakes by Cafe Pastel to the Iced Cake Boutique created for Crimson.

On October 3, some of the stars of the series return for one final evening. We can’t wait for you to taste them.

The final table: Pistachio Green. 🫛

The story of the last dinner in The Tablescape Series is now live on the blog, from the rain falling beyond the chiffon canopy to the food, wine, and memories that shaped the evening.

Pistachio may have been the final dinner, but it isn’t quite the end of the series.

On October 3, all twelve colours will come together one final time for The Tablescape Series: The Finale and the launch of The Tablescape Series: Stories of Colour.

Despite the rain trying its very best to stop us, the final dinner has officially been served. 💚

After a year of monthly colour-inspired dinners, it is hard to believe we are done. @kateglevitt , I am so proud of what we created together. Twelve tables, twelve colours, and so many memories in between.

Thank you @labarrique_wc for pairing the wines throughout the series and for being there to close out the final dinner with us, and @yaellydesigns for the beautiful artwork capturing pieces of all twelve tablescapes for our guests to take home.

It was magical, whimsical, extremely rainy, and somehow completely perfect.

Tickets for the final Tablescape Series event go live tomorrow.

On October 3, we’re bringing all twelve colours and twelve tables together for one final immersive cocktail party with food, drinks, music, design, installations, and some of the collaborators and moments that have shaped the series throughout the year.

The evening will also mark the launch of The Tablescape Series: Stories of Colour.

I’ve been keeping a little part of The Tablescape Series project quiet.

Alongside each dinner, each table, and each colour, I have been working on something that would allow the entire year to live beyond the final evening.

The Tablescape Series: Stories of Colour.

A book documenting all twelve chapters of the series through photography, menus, design, collaborators, and the stories behind each table, including recipes from every dinner by my co-creator of the series, @kateglevitt .

What began as a series of dinners slowly became a record of an entire year: what inspired each colour, what we created around it, the people who brought it to life, and everything that happened in between.

These are a few of the photographs I created with the incredible @alexlukey for the cover and opening pages of the book, and it feels very special to finally share them.

The Tablescape Series: Stories of Colour will launch on October 3 as part of the final Tablescape Series celebration, bringing all twelve colours together for one last evening.

There is still one final table to go, which means the book will be heading to press on a fairly heroic timeline. But if this series has proven anything, it is that some of its best moments have come together under a slightly unreasonable time crunch. Copies will be available to purchase at the event, assuming the printing gods remain on our side.

Tickets for the October 3 celebration go live this Saturday, August 15.

After twelve months, twelve colours, twelve tables, and countless shared meals, The Tablescape Series is coming together for one final celebration.

Join us on Saturday, October 3 for a one-night-only immersive cocktail experience inspired by a year in colour.

Wander through twelve reimagined tablescapes, enjoy passed canapés inspired by the seasons, discover artwork and installations from past collaborators, live music, and special moments returning from throughout the series.

The evening will also mark the launch of The Tablescape Series: Stories of Colour, a book documenting the tables, menus, collaborators, stories, and ideas that shaped the year.

A celebration of colour, food, design, creativity, and the community that gathered around the table.

The Lavender blog post is now live. 🪻🤍

After a three-month pause, The Tablescape Series returned with a garden party inspired by summer, Provence, and the pleasure of gathering again. Lavender marked two firsts for the series: our first dinner in someone else’s home and our first evening without a seated meal.
