🤯 #expecttheunexpected is probably one of the phrases I say the most to newcomers to #indy .

👀 After more than a year and half living in the city, I’m constantly surprised by the cool and fun things happening in the city.

🏏 Wicket World of Croquet at @presbenjaminharrison is definitely one of those.
I had never heard of Croquet until recently and had no interest in playing, but I decided to give it a shot and it was such a great call.

🫶 The event this past weekend was an opportunity to visit a wonderful historical site, spend a day outside with friends, meet new people, enjoy some art, music, and local food/drinks.

🔜 Cannot wait for next year… and yes, I’m playing!

Featured artist ✨ Kat, joining us for her 2nd year 💛 -Living and working in Indianapolis, Indiana, Katherine is a full-time surgical nurse with an outstanding passion for her artistic career. She has always been driven to paint and create, starting from a young age.
Now at 26, she has begun building her visual art career seriously and commissions works for people all over the state and across the country. She is self taught and comes from a long lineage of innately talented and creative relatives. She paints from her studio space in Indianapolis at Circle City Industrial Complex.
She is inspired by raw materials and the beauty of Mother Earth. By using life’s experiences to connect, she challenges herself to take those moments as organic concepts in order to unite deeper thought, ideas, and people together through her art. She is often inspired in this way through her travels and understanding people’s stories.
Katherine primarily works in oil and acrylic paint, depending on the project and subject matter. Beyond many commissions and personal projects, she has accomplished an 11’ x 7.5’ mural within a local Indianapolis Italian Restaurant, Bocca.
