My smallest one in a while ! You can just see Rottnest on the horizon & there is a cute clue to the 'footprints' ... if you peek under the bottom right corner on the frame 😉 ).

Whoop whoop, they're up!

What a great experience working with @mainroadswesternaustralia and Perfmet Engineering. My Tuart Tree inspired design in the large! 🌳🌱💚 Close up photograph of 3 bridge panels. The blue perforated screens have a creative image inspired by the Tuart Tree.

Strength and Fragilty. Australia's largest moth, the Hercules, feeds on the Bleeding Heart tree. It then wraps itself in its cocoon for up to 2 years before emerging, with no mouth to feed, and a mere 14 days to mate. The Hercules moth comes to rest here, on her clavicle; (in Latin) the 'little key' to another 'bleeding heart'.

So, a question... does Australia actually have a native rose? The NT 'Sturt Desert Rose' is a member of the cotton family and the NSW 'Native Rose' (Boronia serrulata), a member of the citrus family. Does the timeless search for the elusive 'rose' lead us to label/ create/make such 'rose'. Here, she wears three 'Australian-bred' roses. Bred to be. Doll inspo from @popovysisters. A unique feminine looking art doll gazes directly at the viewer. She wears a tiara of 3 Australian-bred roses and is adorned with golden pearl necklaces and earings. Her hair is braided up, with windswept tassles falling. The background is vague and alludes to a wedding veil.
