Camera & Steadicam Operator. London. ACO associate. WBTC. Fireflies Alps rider 2006/07/10/13/16/25 & 2026. Pilates reformer obsessed.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Snaps from my cycle from Italy to France over eight days with the Fireflies to raise funds for cancer research.

A total of 700 miles / 1000 km with 70,000 ft elevation. We raised over £100,000 for The Blood Fund at Imperial Heath Charity :)

This was pretty tough and almost surreal at times but surrounded by these wonderful riders, you are propelled forward and just keep pedaling. A seemingly impossible feat, made possible with friends old and new.

For our final Pride Month feature, Kat Spencer Assoc ACO discusses working on LGBTQ+ stories for screen.

Project: Black Doves
B Camera Operator: Kat Spencer Assoc ACO @katkamera

“The quality of representation in Black Doves is very highly regarded. It presents a rich world of authentic and diverse characters from different backgrounds, walks of life and the LGBTQ+ community.

Sam (Ben Whishaw) is an anti-hero assassin who happens to be gay. His story centres on an ex-partner (Omari Douglas) and we are drawn into a beautiful yet complex love story as he comes out of exile to protect his best friend, an undercover spy also entangled in a separate love storyline of her own (Keira Knightley).

It was the first long contract I had had in my operating career and a big job for me. I loved being mesmerised by the cast and getting to know the characters and I didn’t expect to be in a position where I would be trying to hide tears from them between takes. It was a wild mix of scenes and tone and mostly a lot of fun but also haunting to witness the vulnerability and emotional depth with which the cast portrayed the grief, heartbreak, deceit and desperation. Sadly some powerful scenes didn’t make the edit.

The show was praised by reviewers for its blasé approach to the “gay best friend” and for creating “one of the more credible London gay guys seen on screen,” with one review noting that “his sexuality is both a defining part of his identity and entirely incidental.”
I am happiest working on productions with casts and crews that are inclusive and represents everyone. I support Pride and am proud to collaborate on projects that bring extraordinary talent and diverse stories to our screens.”

Rewilding the body with some of my favourite souls in this ancient rainforest @cabillacornwall

A sacred journey of healing, growth, and remembering who we are. Grateful for the tender love, laughter, tears, and the beautiful sisterhood that unfolded beneath these timeless trees, wild rivers and fairies 🧚✨🌿🌹🌹🌹

Thank you for trusting me to hold space through our 1:1 Traditional Chinese Medicine, Taoist Qi Gong, and somatic healing sessions, and alongside @robrea__ & @juderrea 💚💚💚 throughout this journey.

It has been such a privilege to witness your growth and share this beautiful experience together. ✨✨✨❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

“My abs ache from laughing so much” might be our favourite post-retreat message yet 🥹☀️

We’ve just come back from the most beautiful few days in Ibiza with the loveliest group of people and we cannot stop smiling!

Think:
✨ Morning and evening reformer in our private outdoor studio
✨ Paddle boarding in crystal clear water
✨ Coastal hikes with unreal views
✨ Long afternoons by the pool
✨ Amazing food from @spicerackibiza
✨ So much laughter

The villa was absolutely stunning and gave everyone the perfect space to properly slow down, switch off and have a cheeky afternoon nap if they wanted!

Retreats like this are such a reminder of how important it is to step away from everyday life for a few days. Move, rest, eat well, get some sun on your face and spend time with truly wonderful people

And because so many of you have already asked…
✨ 2027 retreat dates are officially:
15th–19th May 2027

There will be limited spaces available (including only 3 private rooms), so if you’d like first access when booking opens, join the waitlist via the link in bio.

We already can’t wait to do it all again 🫶

Just a reminder: if you’re feeling powerless about what is happening in the world, I feel you. But remember you are not powerless. Express your dissent. Use your body, use your voice.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about this beautiful piece of work I made together with @sdynott @stefandirector @morgan_k._spencer @katkamera and the team back in 2021.

It uplifts me in the darker moments, because it reminds me that humans are capable of turning struggle and injustice into beauty and art. And art can open hearts and change minds.

And to those brave souls on the streets who are willing to be arrested for your integrity, thank you, thank you, I salute you.

The second to last col of the 2025 @the_fireflies_tour ! The Col de Turini ! We honored this war monument at the summit with ultimate silliness. @rincorporated was brave enough to hoist me onto his shoulders so I could eat my fireflies-colored Calypo without dripping it on monument or persons underneath. That’s the kind of friends you make on the Fireflies Tour - the kind that will put your chamois on their back after an epic climb for photographic composition. Aka LIFELONG AND AMAZING.

Join our fight against Cancer! Upcoming is the @fireflieswest tour! Be a part of FUCKING CANCER. #fuckcancer #forthosewhosufferweride @imperialcharity photo @jay_creagh
