Joining us in the guest chef kitchen this week is Greek-American, Katerina Liakos.

She’s been turning heads in NYC with her eponymous pop-up, ‘Katerina’. A nod to name days, the project owes as much to formative stretches at New York favourites, King and Wildair, as it does to family holidays to island tavernas and her grandma’s generous home cooking.

Like her almae maters, Katerina has a knack for pairing the unexpected and invariably landing on the delicious. She runs us through her ‘Chicken Liver Salantourmasi, Stuffed Roscoff Onions, Fig Leaf, Pistachio, Isot Chilli Crisp, Smoked Yoghurt’, inspired by a recent island-hopping trip.

Confident, irreverant and above all *fun*, this is food that implores you to pull up a chair and uncork the retsina.

Katerina’s goal is to feed you, and to feed you well. Get some. Hit the link in our bio to join us.

Flavour-maxxing the traditional Greek recipes of her childhood, Katerina Liakos has been turning heads in NYC with her eponymous Greek-American pop-up, ‘Katerina’.

A nod to name days, the project owes as much to formative stretches at New York favourites, King and Wildair, as her grandma’s generous home cooking. And that’s where it gets interesting.

Like her almae maters, Katerina has a knack for pairing the unexpected and invariably landing on the delicious. Think ‘Grilled Halloumi, Dates, Chicory, Carob Rusks, Sumac, Dijon Vinaigrette’; ‘Tuna Crudo, Ouzo Pickled Beetroot, Tomato Water, Kritamo’; and ‘Chicken Liver Salantourmasi, Stuffed Roscoff Onions, Fig Leaf, Pistachios, Isot Chilli Crisp’.

A graduate of the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo, Katerina certainly knows her alliums, but she wears her education lightly. Confident, irreverant and above all *fun*, this is food that implores you to pull up a chair and uncork the retsina.

Katerina’s goal is to feed you, and to feed you well. Get some.

KASTELLORIZO FOOD AND WINE RETREAT 🐢🩵

Eating well is not only one of life’s greatest pleasures, it’s also the best way into a culture. From 30th September — 5th October, we’re taking over @casamediterraneo_kastellorizo on Kastellorizo where we’ll spend five days doing what we love best: cooking, eating, drinking wine, and getting to know the tiny Dodecanese island through the people who call it home.

For this edition of Ways of Feasting: Kastellorizo, we’ll cook with our guest chef Katerina Liakos and a local Yiayia, learn how to prepare the day’s catch with a fisherman, cross the water to explore the farmers’ market in Kaş and eat lunch at a farm-to-table restaurant tucked into the mountains, hike the island’s trails and spend an afternoon swimming off a traditional wooden boat with a Greek feast (and plenty of pét nat) on board. There’ll be long lunches, dinners on the terrace and at our favourite taverna, wine tastings, daily aperitivo and zero decision-making required. Everything is taken care of, all you need to do is show up hungry.

Hosted by @nomsdujour at @casamediterraneo_kastellorizo
30th September — 5th October

All the booking details are in our bio, or feel free to DM us with any questions. 🇬🇷
