@rc.mercer.3 is helping @katrinajmurray with her new house. Every time he hit his head in the attic I heard a cuss word.

I heard sooooo many cuss words today. 😬

All packed for “Women Take the Walls” @_gmoa. Next Friday, October 4th in Garrett, Indiana‘s museum of art.

All 7 pieces are packed oh so gingerly in bubble wrap and paper. All snug in boxes taped with care. Tim and I will drive north for 120 miles to deliver and install these lovelies tomorrow/Sunday.

I hope to see you along with new and familiar faces.

Tim and I will also have a couple of days in an a charming tiny house on a lake. Hoping for great weather. We’d like to explore the lakes in kayaks and walk a few trails while in the area.

Sunday was bittersweet. Sweet because Tim and I worked to shoot “the language of flowers” exhibit with video and dialogue for my YouTube channel. And bitter because the last day of the show is this Saturday the 6th of July. Visit or make an appointment @edingtongallery before we pack it up. You can always contact Telene or I for inquires.
I’ll let you know once the video short is available on YouTube. Now to clean up the studio and rest (or make more).

An artist friend said you have a large body of work now. Let it live in the world! She is right. I need rest. Maybe I’ll do a little gardening now 😉

We are blooming with excitement to welcome Katrina J. Murray to the gallery for the opening of her solo exhibition 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒖𝒂𝒈𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑭𝒍𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒔.

The language of flowers, also known as floriography, was from a time when proper etiquette discouraged open and flagrant displays but allowed for secretive dialog. In Murray’s garden she uses this reference from history to create commentary on contemporary life.

The Language of Flowers opens June 14th from 6-9pm at Edington Gallery. 🪷

Had an amazing last couple of evenings at the @eiteljorgmuseum ’s #Questforthewest2023 Art Show with the amazingly talented @markkelsoart, Ruth, and Katrina. Mark captured the coveted Patron’s Choice Award, as well as shared with 4 other artists the venerated Artist’s Choice Award. I guess I’ll have to admit to him now that he’s pretty good at that art thing ;-D
