I couldn’t think of a better way to wind down the summer than celebrating West Indian culture in the @barclayscenter for the @nyliberty game this Saturday.

So many people bought tickets, donated tickets, attended the game. We had grandparents with their grandkids, couples with their kids, aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and everyone in between.

Between the Liberty beating the Chicago Sky, Ellie repping Brooklyn, sister Nancy performing at Halftime, the lil torches killing it, it was an amazing time all for a great cause!

We hit our goal! Thank you to everyone who supported by sharing the fundraiser, buying tickets, coming out, making a donation, I am equal parts humbled and grateful. There was a lot happening in Brooklyn, in NYC and all over the country, HULPLY thanks you for shining a spotlight on us!

Born to win. Born to shine.
Flying in from NYC, powerhouse vocalist @KattRockell brought the fire to the 2024/25 HKJC Champion Awards at Rosewood Hong Kong. Ka Ying Rising made history, taking home Horse of the Year after sweeping all three major sprint titles. Zac Purton was named Champion Jockey, adding to an already remarkable season.

We brought the energy to match. Dancers, glam, and standout costumes made every moment on stage one to remember.

I recently heard something super inspirational that really resonated with me. Imagine if you were told exactly how and when the good things you’re working towards in life would come to fruition. Wouldn’t that make the journey easier? That dark, long, and hard path would feel less burdensome and anxious. We would be calmer and happier, knowing that good things are on the way. Strengthening our belief and faith comes from understanding that the view at the end of this long journey will be magnificent and beautiful. The best things for you will come. Don’t tire of the fight or the journey. Just keep climbing and putting in the effort, because it will all be worth it in the end.

TRACK 4 “Steps” – Streaming on All Platforms

Life can be a dance sometimes. Quick steps, slow steps, and sometimes we struggle to dance at all even when we know we need to.

When Ruth and her sister-in-law faced the difficult decision of whether they should continue with their mother-in-law Naomi or return home, Ruth chose to move forward while Orpah decided to go back. But in this pivotal moment, Orpah took four steps forward with her mother-in-law and sister-in-law before retreating. Though she retraced those steps, her efforts to move ahead were praised and rewarded. Even when we face challenges that put us back, even temporary advancement is a step worthy of recognition.

In life, our journey forward is often preceded by setbacks. Yet, every step forward contributes to our journey.

While not the initial intention of the song when written, this difficult time for our people brings out another meaning to the song: sometimes, we have no control or insight into what is to come.
