More than anything, Bella & Louis’ elegant wedding at The Ritz exudes a quiet confidence. A timeless elegance, subtle luxury, and undeniable beauty all unite in this beautiful couple. They’re both simply comfortable in the skin they’re in. These are all ways I would define my work, too. From day one, Bella was so kind, elegant, gracious, humble, and thoughtful, as was Louis. She holds photography dear to her heart - so I knew my role was of the utmost importance to their day. But she stepped into my judgment from day one. “I trust you”, she said. “You’re the professional”. My clients know that they will be gently held throughout their celebrations. Two decades of doing this makes me the safest pair of hands; nothing can happen that I haven’t already experienced and find a solution to. The stars aligned for Katy & Andy 🤍 From the moment I met these two, I knew we were kindred spirits. They are two of the kindest, most caring souls, and seeing them get married on Saturday was such a joy. They couldn’t stop smiling all day long, and neither could I, watching it all unfold. It was the most beautiful autumnal day at Middleton Lodge, with golden sunshine pouring over the gardens at the Fig House. Rich burgundy tones, romantic florals and soft candlelight created the most beautiful setting. I am so excited to share my brand redesign with you… The past two years have seen me go through a process of refinement. A winnowing down - of what my images are, in not only their look but the feeling they give. A process of answering the question - how can I communicate exactly who I am? Because two decades as a wedding photographer have given me so much. Expertise, knowledge, and intuition honed over this period had led me to such a place of plenty… But ‘plenty’ can be overwhelming. An overflow of inspiration had broken down into smaller, diverse rivulets, running away from me - all with their own flow. A flow that wasn’t mine. These past two years have seen me unite these currents, and bring them back into their own powerful, defined course. A course I set, surging with two decades of experience, rather than scattered by it. My work holds space; a warm space of quiet luxury. A tranquil, gracious space where we can breathe, and be. My work needs space to tell its story. A space where empathy and kindness are held at the core, whilst we create the photographs that really speak of your soul - radiant yet refined, emotive, elusive, and elegant.
