GOOD GAULEY 🪩🤠🧚🏼‍♀️🦄🫧

Speechless with gratitude. The family reunion was magical thanks to the hard work of @americanwhitewater - Our @nobdodys & @watercolorwoods crew is so thankful for all the boaters who supported our little businesses, for the belly laughs, the disco fairies, the massive air kick-flips (@ SAM SWANSON! eeeap), the old friends, the new friends, and the soul-healing magic of Mama Gauley herself.

On a personal note, I want to thank @hicke24 and Raymond for the cozy home on wheels and the fest-gear, @oadillon for being my indentured art-intern last week, and @jacobthesnakob11 & @christinaacorn for the soft place to land.

Yesterday, after the chaos of the fest wound down, I had my first day back in a kayak post-injury back in January of this year. The moment the first wave touched my face I just burst out happy crying, like full body sobbing and hyena laughing at the same time. Sam Swanson (Daddy @nobdodys lol), @annalouisewags, & @rachlandia were there and they all turned back and started laugh-crying with me as we all chaos-hugged in our kayaks in the tail waves. I thought my heart just might explode it felt so sweet 💛 true friends are the sauce of life.

It’s the first time I’ve really felt like myself in almost a year, and I couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who is a part of this beautiful community that holds each other through the highs and lows 🫶
