Get to know a little more about my life; on and off campus!

💌 Harper Floor 7 & Resident Assistant Life

Since the beginning of this academic year, I’ve been serving as an RA at UNL’s very own Harper Hall. As a first-year dorm, I’ve had the opportunity to be a friendly face for freshmen as they settle into campus.

🗝️ The Red Keys A Cappella

This spring marks my fourth semester as a part of The Red Keys, one of UNL’s mixed gender a cappella groups. Art and music is a huge part of my life and I’m blessed to be able to continue performing in such a fun and supportive environment.

💎 The National Hall Resident Honorary (NRHH)

Last spring semester, I began serving in UNL’s chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary. Through the RSO I’ve been exposed to a handful of leadership, service and community-driven efforts that have helped me feel at home on campus and in Lincoln.

🏠 Home Life

Although I try to keep it on the down low, I’m originally from Iowa. During breaks I reconnect with my family back at home, including my best friend Miranda and ugly-cute dog Foxy.

✍️ Author’s Note

The goal of this post is to share a little more about my personal life, primarily how I’m involved on campus and what I do when I’m not around. It’s a very brief look and meant to serve as an overview — not necessarily an in-depth exploration.

The style of this post is loosely inspired by the ‘Day in the Life’ content format or account takeovers you’ll can see every now and then. Those types of content rely on visuals and copy to communicate a message — which I leaned into with the personalized graphics and supplementary caption(s).

How I love being a key 🫶🏾🗝️

DAH my heart is so full. Getting the opportunity to compete in the ICCA semifinals for the first time in our group’s history made me feel lucky enough. But the most valuable souvenir that I got from this trip wasn’t a trophy or a certificate of excellence; it was the memories and time that I got to spend with my closest friends.

I will be eternally grateful for TRK, my second family. I love them all dearly knowing that they are the ones who love me exactly as myself, and I love them 100x back.

Thanks for the good times AZ 😛🌵🏜️

To growing where you’re planted pt. 2 ❤️🗝️

Semi-finals! BAH! there are not enough words i can say for how grateful i am for my friends, they are truly the best - this experience, it has been such a meaningful and special time - and for music because it gives me the means to do what I love with the people I love.

I look back at how much I have learned from these people and our shared experiences, and I see a different version of myself than where I am today. Not too long ago, all I could ever think of was how to be “the best,” and to strive for perfection in all I did. Albeit a hard pill to swallow at the time, I learned that it isn’t about being “the best” competitively, but instead being the best version of myself for the people who made me, and striving for joy rather than perfection. I continue to show up and learn everyday because of 17 amazing individuals who inspire me, I cannot thank them enough.

Now and always, All My Love 🫶🏻❤️🗝️

Still trying to find words that can encapsulate my emotions right now 🥲

I’m so thankful to be a part of The Red Keys. It’s truly an honor and a blessing to perform alongside such passionate friends in a setting like this. When we walked off of that stage, I couldn’t contain my pride. No matter the results that would come later that night, I knew I was proud of what we did and the message we came to share 🌏🌿✨

To my keys: You are some of the most kind, talented and dedicated people that I know. Success never happens overnight and I’m so incredibly proud of us. Thank you for being the people that you are. I truly love you all from the bottom of my heart 🫶🏾🗝️
