Some of us may have never had the time, support and means to pursue interests art. While others may have simply been told they weren’t “good” at art and just believed it.
That’s where I come in. My guided art sessions are curated to your specific goals and needs as an artist at any stage, focusing on building confidence in your own artistic perspective. We’re so grateful to every family, volunteer, presenter, partner and community member who helped make the day possible. 💛

Seeing children connect with books, authors and take part in activities designed to spark their curiosity is exactly why we do what we do. Thank you for being part of a day dedicated to helping children build a lifelong love of reading. ✨

Big Spliff is officially DORA NOMINATED!🔥

What a blessing to be recognized for the work I’ve been putting in! Shout out to all the good people over at @tapa_to for nominating me.

Also shout out to the whole Sankofa Trilogy team! I am humbled to have such a rich community of talented artists around me.

Obviously Sound Designing 3 shows at once is not an easy thing to pull off, but I always had someone with me checking on my well-being and encouraging me to keep it up!

Working on something so connected to my culture was such an honor. I learned a lot about myself and I had the opportunity to reimagine some of my favourite Dancehall Riddims for a Black theatre audience.
This was definitely the dream.

The vibes were immaculate and the jokes are timeless.

I never remember to tell the world what’s happening in my life, but next time you see “SPLIFF ON THE SOUND” I hope you’ll come see wah gwan!

Here’s a little sneak peek into what the Sankofa Trilogy Era looked and sounded like…

Enjoy!

And for their second last showcase of the season @spotlight.sessions.to went off with a bangerrrrr!!!

They had @allistondavis heading while collaborating with @ourcribuncut and @realije last night which was absolutely magical!

Not only was there an incredible line up of talent on the stage like @theofficialjasy and @kaygeni but there were also so many beautifully supportive humans in the crowd as well!

Whoever called Toronto the screwface capital has clearly never been to one of these shows! It's ALWAYS giving real community vibes and I can't wait to see what's coming for the summer time!

Catch y'all out there! 🤳🏽
