u, me, US! musings on what lorde means to Kayli (aka @kayli.prime) whether she's solo or at a concert 🦋🌀🌐#lorde #virgin #virginmusings

(1) I’ve admired Ella for being so raw with her fans in a way that makes us feel so connected to each other and the human experience. everyone who I’ve met who’s a Lorde fan I’ve felt an instant bond with and I think it’s because her music is about the human experience in the most deepest ways possible.

(2) I don’t think virgin is something you get the first time, I don’t think any of her music is. I think it’s easy to look past the lyrics and appreciate a song that gives us a strong sense of nostalgia but what I really loved about virgin is it was so different to that.

(3) Virgin was who she is at the core, who she’s been afraid to be, all the broken parts, the undesirable parts, right down to skin and bone which made so many people uncomfortable.

(4) but that’s the most enjoyable part.
