Some BTS from our Feature Film: LUPO
An unbelievable experience, through and through. It’s taken a month since wrap to find the words, and I’m supposed to be a writer!

Incredibly thankful for our whole cast and crew, most of whom I’ll tag, and apologies to those I forget! Especially our incredible art team who swooped in at a moment’s notice and dominated a stressful situation. As well as anyone who had to share a scene with me, sorry! Haha.

But endless gratefulness goes to @joerulli144 , who’s Father’s story I had the absolute honor of translating for the big screen, along with my Co-Write, and your soon-to-be-favorite director Amanda Clayton. Lastly, @thekevinintro who not only has a spectacular lead performance as the title character, but has also continually put his trust in me as a creative. Couldn’t have done it without any of you.

I can’t wait to share more when LUPO releases, hopefully soon. Trust me, you’ll want to see it.

idk about yall but this year has been BEATING MY A** and sometimes im like jesus i cant take much more but thats when its time as a creative to lean into yourself and your art more. being a black performer in the industry can feel extremely daunting because it feels like we’re constantly waiting for someone to give us a moment to shine however were already shining!!!! so ima gonna stop expecting things to come and save me and just give my all to save myself. you have to believe in you thee most. getting to do this show nit only in nyc but back home in houston saved me last year…. @larryvodesign helped me put together this cut of both performances of this song and it bring me joy to know that i am capable of platforming myself and will continue to!!! so thankful to community and those around me that lift me up. BITCH I AM A SURVIVOR!!!!!!!!!!!

Back to my favorite season… summer!! And 2023 definitely didn’t disappoint! Nights out turned into morning sunrises, we celebrated birthdays and babies, I saw some more Broadway shows, and finally walked across the Brooklyn Bridge 😎

We’re doing another art show, and it’s holiday themed! Big @al_boulder is taking the reigns for this one, and it’ll include 20+ artists sharing seasonal creations to celebrate the holidays!
