This past weekend we kicked off our first chuthis. Perspectives of the season at Bunker Dance Center. It was an honour having the chance to share physical space with the exceptional artist, human, and educator, @cindybethsalgado.

Cindy, your expansive knowledge and genuine compassion make dancers want to continue discovering the depths to which dance can provoke human thoughts and emotions. From Juilliard to Kidd Pivot, and beyond, chuthis. is so fortunate to be able to curate such an extraordinary human being.

Kathy, Robert, and the Bunker Dance Center community, chuthis. is forever grateful for the relationship we have built over the years. Thank you for continually taking care of us during our residencies, projects, and movement education programs!

And of course, to the dancers, without your curiosity, presence, and talent, chuthis. Perspectives is an entirely unfulfilled dream. We hope that this workshop has brought you joy and valuable information to help guide you during your ongoing movement education — teaching the next generation of movement artists continues to inspire chuthis. to grow and expand in ways we could have never thought of otherwise.

I started this week exhausted, but I am incredibly fulfilled from the weekend experiences we shared. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Bostyn Ashjian is a dancer, actress and choreographer based in New York City. Originally from Las Vegas, Nevada; Bostyn graduated from The Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase with a BFA in dance. While at Purchase she started working with Punchdrunk NYC in their iconic show Sleep No More. She has performed works by Maxine Doyle, Johannes Wieland, Tom Weinberger, Trisha Brown, Martha Graham and Merce Cunningham. Bostyn is currently expanding her creative endeavors and collaborations throughout the country and the world.
