Before and after. just under 1 month of work. Totals so far -2 30 yard dumpsters of junk, starting on 3rd and 50+ bags of garbage the local trash pickup took, special pickup for sectional, 2 scrap metal piles to local scrappers, 19 donation loads, 2 carloads of toiletries to shelters. I missed getting pics of the kitchen, downstairs bathroom, shed room and shed before I started cleaning. Garage is still untouched and I started working on the attic where there is stuff from the 70s when my parents moved in here. Rooms would be completely cleared but those piles are paperwork (mom still had bills she paid from the 70s and tax returns from 1971) stuff for an estate sale, more donations, and stuff I need to decide if I’m keeping. The basement is also full of items for a sale. It was a constant battle trying to help mom without getting furious with the choice she had made. I have cleaned some of these areas a second and third time at this point. Wish I could have helped her get to this point so she could have had some space to breathe instead of being a prisoner of junk. Thanks to everyone who came to help and everyone I’ve talked to or sent a message.

VIDEO DIARY DAY 20 (Part 1), 9/10/25- UTAH. Some very nice ancestral structures to start the day off. Amazing how these places have held up for almost 1,000 years. The desert climate definitely helps preserve the wood and mud that hold these bricks together, but their longevity is mostly due to the building skill of the Ancestral Puebloans!
