we’re always being sold a new version of ourselves.

a better version. a cooler version. a more beautiful version.

set within a futuristic world of electric light, reflective surfaces, and translucent layers, we challenged this through imagining jewelry not as something worn, but something that evolves alongside the body. pieces that feel integrated rather than simply styled. familiar rather than fully transformative.

in this world, adornment becomes part of the same visual language as skin, light, and form - following natural contours, catching familiar highlights, and existing as an extension of the person wearing it rather than something separate from them.

at its core, second skin is a story about recognition over reinvention. about finding pieces that feel less like an accessory and more like an extension of self.

POV: I moved to Portland for a fresh start and accidentally ended up vibing with it a little too hard🌲☕️ 📸
One month in, making friends, new connections, and still always the same Justin (but now collecting memories like a local)

This is Kristine. She was a prop stylist on one of my last jobs. Halfway through one of our shoot days, I saw that she had this little notebook and I had to stop to take a picture of it.

To most it might seem like a cute and simple list but what it represented was someone who was really good at their job and went beyond expectations.

See during our prepro and scout day lots of creative ideas were flown around, and Kristine here was diligently taking notes on all of it, extracting all of our ideas into an organized, neat list, and so when the time came, she was ready to give us not only what we asked for, but also options! It wasn’t even something I was fully aware of and it gave me so much peace to know we were being taken care of.

I’m so thankful for the crew I’ve gotten to work with over the years. It’s folks like Kristine that not only make the end result look better but it’s the grace, clarity, and passion they put into their job that makes us all look better.

Thank you @kcriysteenh! And thank you @gretchenbellstyle for bringing her to our team!
