I was a featured speaker on Konenki’s Integrative Midlife Care panel, alongside the other Vetted Konenki Providers.

I spoke about why midlife symptoms belong together, and why I start with nervous system regulation and gut health before anything else.

If you have ever felt like your body stopped cooperating and nobody could tell you why, you are not imagining it.

Your gut, your nervous system, your emotions. In midlife, they are not separate conversations. They are the same one.

Huge gratitude to Dr. Emma Mansour, Leah Somers, and Karyn Golgart, three of our Vetted Konenki Providers, for showing up so openly and sharing what they know. And to everyone who joined us live, we see you. Choosing to invest an hour in yourself is no small thing.

Could not make it this time? You have not missed your chance. More conversations like this are already on the way.

What if the answer to feeling better in midlife is not one treatment, but understanding how everything is connected?

So many women in perimenopause and menopause are managing symptoms one at a time, chasing solutions for sleep, then mood, then digestion, then stress, without realizing these systems have been talking to each other all along. When your nervous system is dysregulated, your gut feels it. When your gut is off, your emotions follow. It is exhausting to keep putting out fires when no one has helped you see the bigger picture.

The good news? Once you understand how these systems work together, you can stop guessing and start building a plan that actually fits your body right now.

When stress seems to show up in your gut, your body isn't overreacting.

Your gut and nervous system are deeply connected, and midlife changes how they work together.

We know someone who understands that connection.

Karyn Golgart, Women's Health & Menopause Coach at KG Health and Wellness, is one of our Vetted Konenki Providers speaking at Integrative Midlife Care: Nervous System, Gut Health & Emotional Wellness.

Live on Zoom, Thursday, October 8 at 12:15 PM ET.

Our Story:
The Backstage Foundation uses a powerful and often overlooked tool to build confidence, leadership, and community among underserved youth in the Pacific Northwest – the arts.

Free dance classes and core-values training give children a safe space to grow and express themselves. Nicholson & Associates Insurance is a steadfast partner, bringing dance to more kids and more communities across the Pacific Northwest.

Agency Vice President Gretchen Henrie serves on Backstage’s board; and the agency is both an annual partner at the $1,000 giving level and consistent supporters at local fundraisers. Employees also have attended performances to cheer on participants and made personal donations on top of the agency’s support, making their total financial impact beyond $2,000.

In addition to financial support, the Nicholson team gets hands-on — volunteering at an ASL pre-dance workshop, writing encouraging notes for students, and learning American Sign Language alongside the youth they support.

“As an independent insurance agency, we know that people become empowered when they feel safe and secure. We’re honored to support The Backstage Foundation and the valuable skills they impart to young people through dance,” says Henrie, Vice President, Nicholson & Associates Insurance, LLC.

Since launching Edgewood’s @mtviewcc dance class program in 2024, The Backstage Foundation has served more than 200 youth participants, with 15-25 kids in each weekly class.

A $10,000 Make More Happen Award would provide an opportunity to expand those classes and grow its new adaptive dance pilot program for children with disabilities into a full year.

Vote for @nicholson_and_associates_ins and The Backstage Foundation to help more kids find their rhythm!

"I'll be discussing the partnership between the nervous system and gut health, and how optimizing these systems can help mitigate the symptoms, the aches and pains, during midlife."

Karyn Golgart, one of our Vetted Konenki Providers, shares a preview of what she's bringing to our upcoming event, Integrative Midlife Care: Nervous System, Gut Health & Emotional Wellness.

Join us on October 08 at 12:15 PM ET for a free, live conversation with Karyn Golgart (KG Health and Wellness), Emma Mansour (Life Matters Counseling), and Leah Somers (Whole Health Counseling) as they explore the connection between your nervous system, gut health, and emotional wellness during midlife.

Together, they'll help you better understand why your body is responding differently at midlife and how these systems have been connected the whole time, so you can feel more informed and empowered to take a more integrative approach to your care.
